TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter has told Digital Spy that she is open to the idea of a WWE/TNA crossover event, where the two rival organisations have their stars go head-to-head.

Carter, who has visited the UK to promote TNA's 2014 British tour, said that she enjoys the rivalry with WWE, arguing that it benefits both companies and - most importantly - the fans.

I don't think [the WWE] shares my belief in this, but I believe that competition is 100% positively essential," she told Digital Spy.

"I think it's important for fans and for us. To have one company dominate, a) it's boring, and b) you are not being challenged enough. It's always better to have other options out there and I truly believe it makes both companies better."

When asked if she would ever be open to the idea of WWE and TNA stars appearing together in shows, she said: "I absolutely would do that. I'm not sure if they would do that, but I absolutely would."

TNA currently airs on Challenge in the UK and Carter said that she considers Britain the company's "second home".

"The UK is essential. It truly has become our second home. It's the first home worldwide that we have had ratings dominance. Fans in this country know what they like and they're very vocal about it," she said.

"They judge the product on what they see in front of them and it's not all about the history.

We're talking about doing another season of the Bootcamp series on Challenge and we're also in talks about other UK TV projects so hopefully we'll be able to announce that in the coming months.

"And from a touring perspective, we're going to be filming in Glasgow, Scotland. That will be the first time that wrestling has ever been broadcast live from Scotland, so I'm really excited about that."

Speaking about the growth of TNA over the last decade, Carter said that she is "very proud" of the company's achievements on "limited resources", and that her aim is still to become "the most successful wrestling company in the world".
i'd be up for this but Vince i dont think ever will be though.

Why would he? He holds all the chips. He'd have very little to gain from it sure you'd get a spike it'd probably be the same spike that he got when the rock returned. But what about the outcome of the matches? WWE talent putting over TNA talent? Most people consider TNA more or less a joke so if your joke company wins matches against WWE talent, those talent are then jokes. It'd be slightly different if TNA were in the same league this could have worked for WWE and WCW. But WWE should never do it for TNA as I said nothing to gain.

lol she thinks that she's in a "Rivalry" with the WWE. I totally agree with prime on this WWE have nothing to gain from this, and this would just benefit TNA and Vince knows it. But if shes wants a "Rivalry" so bad hey maybe ROH can help.

Now that's actually not too far off the Mark ROH and TNA may both benefit though TNA is a bit above ROH in my book they are much closer than TNA and WWE

Vince has no good reason to do this unless he was buying TNA and wanted to build the brand up before he bought it. Otherwise this does wonders for TNA and would be by far the biggest thing to happen to them and would do nothing for WWE really. So of course Dixie would be open to it just no way Vince will. Now and ROH/TNA thing on the other hand could be good for both parties and is something I wished they would have done years ago.

Is this an olive branch from Dixie cause she know's they're struggling? Is she hoping for a partnership where TNA could be franchised?

Don't think it'll ever happen, but it makes me wonder.

As much as I respect Carter and I do, lately she has been making too many random comments which seem to be just her trying to shock, stir up interest or make TNA seem a bigger deal than it actually is. This is unlikely to ever happened, Dixie needs to stay focus on making the product the best it can be.

Pretty much that. Of course Dixie is open to it, it'd give her company huge exposure. A WCW-WWF event would have made sense but TNA just aren't on WWE's level...though the level of talent is about the same. WWE would gain nothing from it though, realistically you'd have to have WWE guys win all the matches, maybe AJ Styles can squash Santino.

Give it 5 years until TNA is WWE-owned and she'll have her wish.

Not sure she'll appreciate Ryback squashing all her guys though.

WWE did a cross promotion Raw with ECW. Stop acting like Vince has never tried to do something with a smaller company.

I doubt this will happen simply based on WWE ignoring everything that's not a part of the Universe anymore, unless its one of Ric Flairs 16 recognized title reigns.
