C'MON when was the last time WWE debuted a guy against a big name, it's jobber city or no name city for at least a month.

Khali was prol the last guy and that was only believable b/c of his size.

Just people getting carried away b/c of the Foley stuff (which didn't even make it on TV).

First of all, Dean Ambrose is 6 ft 4 so your argument about size is irrelevant.
Secondly, you don't need size to get over instantly in the WWE. Carlito is 5 ft 10 and had one of the best career starts in the last ten years. Ambrose's gimmick may be edgy, but so is spitting on opponents. Having Ambrose jump right in will do far more for him than testing the waters with a few jobbers ever will.

Also, I'm not backing him because of the Mick Foley stuff. Just because it's the first thing you heard of doesn't make it the first thing of importance that he's done. He had an excellent program with Regal in FCW and plenty more on the independent circuit. Whether you want to admit it or not, his gimmick and promo skills blow the shit out of any WWE created gimmick in the last five years.

You put too much into size even though these guys are normal height. Ambrose has proven himself in the Indy scene that he could be ready for the next step.

To be honest, they've missed the boat on introducing him to the roster post WrestleMania so i'd have to imagine that we'll looking 6+ months maybe before he gets on the roster. Just don't see them debuting a new guy and facing jobbers on the road to WrestleMania where he won't have any sort of focus.

Hell, they did that with Brodus this year, appearing at the Rumble then disappearing for a few months before his awful skit at Mania.

What do you even mean 'proven himself in the indy scene'.

Just because you are an average sized fish in a small pond doesn't mean you will adapt to being anything when you go big time. Colt Cabana is one of the biggest names around the bush leagues and he didn't amount to shit.

I guess with WWE wanting to go bankrupt by pushing all these vanilla midgets, he has a shot though. Punk just sunk ratings to their lowest in a decade so why not get his buddies in and set a new record low for viewers eh.

Vince never cared what you did on the indies and neither does the common WWE fan/8 year old in the crowd.

Vince will sign you if you a little bit of hype aka Punk in 05 and Bryan in 09

Both are extremely talented and amazing on the mic. Both are pretty damn over with the fans. I don't see the vanilla midget at all.

Guy seems to be getting over hyped to me.

I mean what you think he gets called up and is instantly in a feud for a world title? I doubt it. If he's lucky he'll get a huge debut and face main eventer before being moved back down to the mid card. But more then likely he'll debut similar to Punk or DB without a helluva lot of fanfare and get stuck on the mid card for a decent amount of time.

If theres anything that Televised wrestling has taught us it doesn't matter if you're the best wrestler in the world or the worst. It's all about the look and what the guys upstairs have in store for you.

To be honest, Colt Cabana didn't 'amount to shit' because they didn't use him. At all.

In my view, if you're able to create a buzz for yourself around the Independent circuit despite working through hostile crowds in CZW, as well as small Indie shows where you have to wrestle in front of 100 people that don't even care about you, then you'll probably do fine in the WWE.

Ambrose doesn't strike me as a person who would panic in front of an extremely tame WWE audience, or under the limelight.

I like Ambrose quite a bit and I think his gimmick will get over quickly.... But, you can't bring him directly into a program with Orton or the likes. Start him off with guys like Santino, Ryder, Slater, Otunga... would love to see a program with Christian as they are both very good in the ring, have similar builds, and can both work the mic.... Baby steps guys.... He's good enough to get there, just let him get there

Sheamus debuted and mainevented pretty early, he had a look about him that was extremely different and got people to notice him. Being ghostly white would do that against all the orange bronzies who are in wrestling nowadays, but it didn't really work for him initially, he had to work hard for his place on the card.

This guy I never heard of, better be something special or I will just shake my head at the internet audience one more time.

He's way overhyped by the Internet, and I really fucking hate when people do that because it turns me away from people I am a fan of because they're good, yet nowhere near as great as people make them out to be.

I do believe Ambrose will have a good main roster debut though simply because he hasn't been involved on NXT at all, not mentioned or anything, yet all the other top FCW guys are on that show. That just leads me to believe, he's going to have at least a decent debut.
