F4W - As noted, WWE has confirmed to us that Daniel Bryan suffered a concussion in the main event of RAW on Monday night. WWE still hasn't acknowledged the injury on their website and it wasn't mentioned at tonight's SmackDown tapings. The word going around backstage at SmackDown was that Bryan did not remember a lot of what happened in the cage match and that the concussion seemed to be serious. The only thing confirmed so far is the diagnosis of the concussion. More details should be available as he undergoes standard testing this week.

That sucks, especially if serious. He's hot right now and it can take away some momentum if he's not cleared by the rumble

Doubt Bryan missing the Rumble would matter too much unless if he was planned to win it. It sucks that he would miss the big 4 but considering that he's pretty over I doubt WWE would turn on him after he's cleared to wrestle like they did with Fandango and Ziggler.

I think a concussion would change how he's booked at the chamber, as I doubt hey would send him in there if it was a severe concussion

He will more than likely be fine to compete in the Rumble... even if he comes in at 29 or 30 and just tosses a couple guys over the ropes and leaves it at that.

What is with all the concussions these days? Hopefully they keep Bryan on TV even if he doesn't wrestle.

^There have ALWAYS been concussions. There's just more emphasis now. WWE's deal with Nowitski's group was that they would confirm every concussion and approach them the same way the NFL does, so that brings them more to light.

Hope this isn't too bad and that it doesn't effect his Mania season too much.

Would assume that it was a result of the double backbody drop from the top rope. Hopefully he's cleared in time for the Rumble as I think the crowd will be mega hot if he's amongst the last 4 or 5.

I've only really just heard of F4W, are they reliable? When I see that they say that WWE has confirmed to them, but it's not on their website or mentioned at the Smackdown taping, I get a little sceptical.

Sure it's owned by Meltzer and Alvarez, so a little more legit than your average "CM Punk in the doghouse" type dirtsheets.

He'll only be a bit part player come Mania anyway, with all the actual stars getting brought back he'll be forced into a filler match. Which is where he should be, he is a popular midcarder after all.

Your reputation precedes you. <--- That is not a compliment.

Meltzer & Alvarez' goto stories were "CM Punk in the doghouse" everytime he lost a match pre-"pipebomb".

And I doubt Daniel Bryan isn't in the title match at Mania, he is the only guy they have who has the audiences attention atm, this is the time to pull the fucking trigger. I don't care how tiny he is, if he is over, push the fuck out of the little bastard.

Deezy already said it for me, Daniel Bryan should win the belt at Wrestlemania. I just can't argue with perfect logic.
