I know Dex is my most important stat, but what's next Con or Wis? I know I don't get many hit points

Ok so provided I understand this right:
1. 6-5-1
2. 6-1-6
3. 1-2-5
4. 1-4-4
5. 4-4-4
6. 1-2-1

Did I understand correctly?

You'll add your rolls up and use them for your abilities. For example:

1. 6+5+1 = 12
2. 6+1+6 = 13
Etc.

You'll put them in your ability scores.

Pulled off a sneaky here and decided to switch classes once again and play as a Wizard since I enjoyed it so much in my current campaign

DEX: 12 (+1 Mod)
CON: 16 (+3 Mod)
INT: 18 (+4 Mod)
WIS: 13 (+1 Mod)
CHA: 13 (+1 Mod)

Languages Known: Elvish, Common, Undercommon, Sylvan

Background: Noble

Alignment: Lawful Neutral

I know Juice suggested 3d6 six times for ability scores, but I hope I'm not going over her head by suggesting an alternative, that being Roll 4d6 and discard the lowest roll, repeating six times. So for example if you roll 4d6 and you roll 1, 4, 6, and 3, you'd discard the 1 so it equals 13.

Just rolling 3d6 can lead to some absolutely wonky ability scores and I'm fairly certain what I'm suggesting is the more accepted standard
