Cyber-bullying drives teenage girl to suicide

This is horrible and unfortunately it is becoming more and more common. What she went through wasn't bullying it was plain and simply harrassment and the police should have been involved many times over the journey. The guy that blackmailed her with the picture should be in jail for being in possession of child porn, for blackmail and for harrassment. The girl that beat her up should have been charged. The schools that she attended did a horrible job in ensuring that one of their pupils was protected, the school is partly accountable as are her parents who didn't give her enough support.

I am lost for words at the part about people throwing a party for her death. It is sad that that is what the world is coming to, shame that those people can't be removed from the genepool immediately because they add nothing to society and only make it worse.

The level of hate those kids had for her really makes me wonder if there is more to this story than the victim admitted or the press is reporting. We already know she was trying to get with a dude that had a girlfriend already, so you kind of have to wonder how deep that rabbit hole goes.

Still... celebrating her death is fucking disgusting regardless of what she did.

Anywho, this kid decides the words of people she don't know are worth more than the people who cared about her. Dumb fucking kid if you ask me.
Kids these days, wehnI was in highschool, I was bullied, we didn't call it that. It was called being toughened up and the kids were weeded out. I know alot of people in my highschool days who have killed themselves, and I think it is the most selfish thing a person can do.

Kids need to grow the fuck up, life starts after highschool.

Alright, just thought I'd update this a little. Apparently she was a slut, who wasn't very nice to anybody. Apparently she was a bully herself. It seems like she just wasn't able to handle the backlash or something?

Even if she was all that it doesn't make it right that this guy told an underage girl to flash herself and then blackmail her by posting it all over the internet. The guy needs to get done for child pornography because that is what he has done. Bullying someone to this extent just isn't on at all, never seen the point in bullying anyone at all.

The good news is apparently Anonymous managed to track down the piece of crap that did this. I don't like most of the stuff that that group does but things like this are good as long as they actually have the right person. Hopefully police press charges soon.

Like WTF!, I was bullied in school, even got a pair of Air Jordans stolen from me in Gym, guy who stole them was on my baseball team and wore them to a game, after he changed into his uniform I stole them back, and when he got in my face I broke his leg with a baseball bat, sure I spent a few years in counsiling because apparently I had anger problems, but I was never picked on, bullied, or stolen from after that. Its called earning respect.

And lets be honest, bullying wasnt half as big a problem when parents & teachers could beat the children.

I mean I even read an article that a friend, although I'm questioning that now, posted about "proper actions" for an unruly child and one of the suggestions was "do nothing" another was to "Apologize for the child" I'm like... what the fuck is wrong with you? And of course she is 100% against spanking because it is "barbaric" and "inhumane" and blah blah blah but its like parents are pretty much not allowed to do anything these days without the threat of child service's being called.

But that's a whole nother topic there. Main thing nowadays... kids are pussies. You either the bully or a pussy. There isn't a in-between anymore. Back in the day... I wasn't the bully, but I had people that would stick up and stand up for me so I didn't have to get my hands dirty but normally if someone tried to bully me... it didn't go well for them. So others learned quickly. Plus whenever I would stand up... shit got real... real quick. Smacked the glasses right off of a kid one day in front of the class.

There are alot of ways that you can discipline a child within the confines of the law, you just have to make sure that they are fed, have clothing, and a warm place to sleep. My child actually takes 2 bedrooms as his own, one with just his bed, dresser, and a book shelf with nothing but books, the other has all his toys, videogames, movies etc., its basically his play room, but when he acts up the door gets locked and he is not to enter until he comes back and can explain what he did that was wrong. This way I advocate that he should think before acting.

The problem I have noticed is that when kids are acting up in stores, their parents always tend to cave in and then the kids learn that acting like a moron is the way to get what you want. My son is reminded everytime I take him shopping atleast, that if he behaves, he will be able to get a new toy, but if he acts up even once, then he will get nothing, I will guarentee that it hurts when he acts up and cant get his toy, but Dad can walk right into the store and get all his(I have been collecting McFarlane figures for the last 10 years).

The whole "who cares, there are worse things going on in the world" line is so ridiculous. I'm sure someone could have said the same thing on 9/11. That's not the point though.

Besides, even if the girl was a bully herself, you know... I'm just taking a quick look at this chick and she doesn't really seem like someone who could physically intimidate anyone. I really don't see how she could be pegged a "bully". It's more likely most of those kids were just upset she wouldn't sleep with them. When I think of someone who's a "bully", usually it's someone who is physically-abusive, not just someone with a bad attitude. That's what pussy internet bullies do.
