Miss Kitten - Batbox 8/10
Slippery and suductive beats by one of the jewels of the Eltroclash movement, its a fantastic Album.

Arcade Fire - Neon Bible 7/10
It is my least favouite of their there records, but it still has some well crafted, and moving tunes, and manages to make songs about death really uplifting and thought provoking.

Anna Calvi - Anna Calvi 7.5/10
This new singer/song writter signed to Domino is like a mixture of PJ Harvey, Nina Simone and Shairly Bassy. Arresting vocals, a chilling atmosphere, and tightly meldoic strings make this an impressive listen.

Lou Reed - Transformer 8/10
One of the greatest records ever full-stop!

Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation 9/10
One of the great cult records, their noise and lyrics are a artform. This gets better with every listen.

No Cars Go, Intervention, Keep the Car Running and My Body is a Cage are definitely the highlights of this album (in my humble opinion).

I agree though, it's the lesser of the three albums. Funeral and The Suburbs are both excellent.

Saw Arcade Fire live last year, they were fantastic.

Apart from My Body is a Cage I think I agree with your favourite tracks, also like widowsill and Black Wave/Bad Vibrations.

Will you be seeing them this year? I have only seen them once at Glastobury in 07, but hope to see them in Hyde Park in June, and maybe again in Manchester later in the Summer.

Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks - Real Emotional Trash 8/10
Pavement are one of my favoruite ever bands, and their frontman has produced some choice moments in his solo career too, this is his best Album to date.

Black Wave/Bad Vibrations divides my opinion. First half of the song isn't great, but I love the second half of the song when it switches mood.

I probably won't be seeing them this year. I saw them at Leeds Festival last year and that'll be the only festival I'm attending this year too. So it seems highly unlikely. I was considering seeing them at the Manchester too, not sure whether I will though.

Wake Up is definitely a highlight of their live shows. An unbelievable encore.

Lupe Fiasco - The Show Goes On

This is probably my favourite song from this year so far. So easy to listen to and has great repeat value.

OST To both Twin Peaks:Fire Walk With Me and Muholland Drive. Both I would give 8/10 to.

TPFWWM is more a dreamy, orcesstrial score with jazz and blues type numbers, Mulholland Drive has more older style pop, mixed in with normal wide range of genres, and maybe a slightly darking, raw edge to some of the tracks. Music and atmosphere are just so important to Lynch's films.

Pendulum - Watercolour

Pendulum are an Australian drum and bass band and I have really started getting into them recently. I watched their concert at Rock Am Ring last year on tv and they are awesome live.

Haven't listened to this song for some time. Was huge in 2000.

Chamillionaire's newest mix tape Major Pain. Definitely better on miztapes than he is on studio albums.

Kate Bush - The Kick Inside 8/10

Warpaint - The Undertow 7/10
Very much on the Kate Bush scale, but with a bit of brooding Cat Power like chill thrown in.
