Sources close to Strikeforce Women's Middleweight Champion Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos indicate the Brazilian mixed martial artist is in negotiations with World Wrestling Entertainment. Two weeks ago, Cristiane attended a WWE live event in California with her husband, Strikeforce fighter Evangelista Santos. She was offered a contract on the spot.

Christiane has not been offered a fight since her June 26, 2010 bout against Jan Finney. Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker declined to comment on the matter, but it is largely assumed the promotion has been unable to find any willing participants over the course of the past nine months. For those who don't follow MMA, she is a huge name in the MMA world. She's also not your 'typical' WWE Diva.

Santos fought Gina Carano on August 15, 2009 at Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg for the Women's Middleweight Championship (145 lbs). Santos won via TKO at 4:59 of the 5:00 first round.

If this is true, quite frankly, it'll be hilarious.

She's pretty much the most dangerous woman in the world. Her wrestling the bikini models in WWE would be brutal since she'd probably stiff them.

Here's a taste of her (skip to 4:40 for the best part, you don't want to miss it);

A modern day Chyna possibly? I can't see why she would accept the contract and I would be very worried if I was a Diva since I wouldn't think she would be safe in the ring especially when she just starts choking a reporter in the interview. Would be deadly for the Divas if she joins WWE.

Yeah I could see her as a modern day Chyna definitely. She's built sort of the same, and has that same attitude. I'm sure she'll do it for the money.

LOL I love it. I'd pay big money to watch her wrestle Kelly Kelly, The Bellas, Rosa Mendes, etc, stiff.

More like using this as a fallback, since no one wants to fight her. But more likely just a negotiation ploy against Strikforce to get her a fight. Since she hasn't fought since she crushed Gina Carrano.

Wouldn't mind seeing her beat the shit out of some models. But would be interested in a showdown with Awesome Kong.

Just thinking about this, can anybody actually see Cyborg selling a bulldog from Eve Torres?

Hahaha... God no, she's the best fighter in the MMA World and noone has the guts to fight her; This is clearly the only way she can get some secure income at this very moment, Awesome Kong vs Cyborg to headline wrestlemania?

Since UFC bought Strikeforce, the Women's division will really take a hit. So I do see her maybe taking a chance with WWE.

UFC have said that they will continue to run Strikeforce seperately so presumably they will retain the women's division. Still not sure if she would be a safe buy and the fact that she can't speak english would work against her.
