More like making it a Hell in a Cell in a Pole match, where you have to climb the pole, the cell (which is on top of the pole), all of this while carrying a ladder up, so you can grab the championship that's hanging. You can then use the championship as a weapon as both men make their way to the stage and then they have to run back to the ring, whoever enters the ring first is the champion. :russo:

Nah, just some weird no-finish draw probably.

Welcome to #wwelogic. It's ridiculous that it's still an option. My guess is because Summerslam did well and Lesnar drawing well, part 2 could just be another money-maker. WWE have no intention of using these legends to actually create more stars, they want to feed them to the already made stars like HHH, Cena and Undertaker and make quick money through insane PPV buy-rates. Great for the short term, terrible for the long term.

HHH really just needs to retire from in-ring competition if he has no intention of putting someone over. Though a dictator heel GM role and eventually putting Punk, Ryback or (insert new face of the company) here could be cool. But other than storyline purposes and building the future, he can stay the fuck away from in-ring competition.

Maybe this is just me being a mark against crap like this, maybe this is IWC overreaction, but...

Why would a Wrestlemania with Brock-HHH and Rock-Cena rematches draw? That sounds awful. Rock/Cena may have been a dream match and felt like the huge match it should have, but it wasn't a good enough match that I want to see it again. Plus Cena's back to being Superman so there's no storyline reason to do it. Brock/Game was just boring, and that'll put the title-holders back in the midcard unless Rock-Cena is for the belt, and that sounds worse.

If we're gonna get Rock/Cena again (and obviously we are), then I'd rather have it be for the title than not. At least that way, it can be said that the main event of Wrestlemania revolves around the WWE Title. I'm still hoping Punk is thrown in there to make it a triple threat, or as a distant second possibility, Brock. They put Brock on the WM29 poster with Cena and Rock, and I know it was just their way of putting they're three biggest draws all on the same poster, but considering that, I wonder what the odds are that he could be thrown into the match as well. At least then (or in the case of Punk being in the match instead), it wouldn't be a straight up rematch between just Rock and Cena.

This is something that ex-wrestling columnist Scott Keith just wrote on his blog:

"Traditionally in wrestling, a referee stopping the match due to excessive bleeding doesn't change the title. So that would be a terrific way for a babyface to beat the hell out of a heel without having to lose and still keeping the title on the heel. I have no idea what this random thought could apply to, however."

He wasn't even talking about Ryback/Punk but it would work perfectly for it. Ryback destroys Punk but the referee stops the match due to Punk bleeding excessively. Ryback wins but doesn't get the title, but also doesn't lose the streak. It also further establishes Ryback as a monster, destroying the WWE Champion like that. It works out the best in both ways.

That's true, Brock Lesnar beat the shit out of Rob Van Dam for the Intercontinental championship, but they stopped the match because Van Dam was being destroyed.

Stopping a hell in the cell match due to excessive blood? Seems legit. In all seriousness that would further ruin the gimmick match.

WWE ruins gimmicks all the time, you think a cage is safe from their fuck ups?

Yeah, I kinda overlooked the fact that it was a HIAC match for a second. Ending it in a draw is really the only way it'll happen. And people might hate that kind of ending and feel it's a cheap way out, but the PPV is gonna tank without Cena anyhow and the match is gonna suck as well, so what difference does it make what the ending ends up being.

To be honest I think WWE need to insult our intelligent and have an outside distraction result in the match ending in a draw. Yes it shouldn't happen like that with HIAC but if Henry or Lesnar breaks the cage, takes out Ryback and Heyman tells Punk to leave and walk to the back then no one is really hurt by it. It then gives Ryback a feud outside of the WWE title scene which is what he needs and protects his streak, while Punk stays as champion where he belongs.

I'm thinking it'll probably be because Ryback and Punk end up fighting outside of the cell and the match going to a no contest from there. Heyman sees that Ryback is dominating Punk and is perhaps close to finishing him off, so he steals the keys from the outside referee and enters the cage and distracts Ryback. Ryback destroys him, then Punk tries to escape the cage and take his title and leave. Ryback catches up with him and they brawl and eventually they end up going off the stage or something (imagine the Batista/Taker ending of Backlash 2007, where Batista speared Taker off the stage and they were both out.) They declare that both (or at least Punk) is unable to continue and consider it a no contest as a result.

Not a bad way to end it at all considering the circumstances. It seems too logical for WWE so expect something the complete opposite, like Ryback actually beating CM Punk.
