Seeing Nik Wallenda walk across the Grand Canyon on a tightrope the other day made me think about what are the craziest stunts of all time.

Nik Wallenda's walk across the Grand Canyon has to be up there because of the sheer scale of it all. I would class this as more impressive than his Niagara Falls walk since this time he had no safety harness at all. I was amazed at how relaxed he was throughout and how he cracked jokes throughout the walk and talked the entire time, plus he did it just in jeans and a tshirt. Did anyone else watch this?

For me though the craziest stunt of all time has to be Red Bull Stratos where Felix Baumgartner jumped out of a balloon 39 kilometres above the earth. You have to have so much faith in the technology to do something like that. I don't know how you even get it around your head that you are going to jump out of a capsule whilst in the stratosphere. What was even more impressive was the smooth clean landing that he had.

What do you think are some of the craziest stunts of all time?

Nitrous Circus. Maybe not the most daring bit definitely the most interesting to watch.

The environment for Wallenda's Niagara walk made it more impressive to me. I know those mists well, and believe me, the fact he didn't slip at all was the real story considering how wet that wire had to be. The worst thing he had to worry about at the Grand Canyon was the wind, which he also had to deal with at Niagara.

I have always been a fan of the Circle of Death at Full Throttle Saloon.

There once was a guy in the 70's who tight roped between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City.
