I think at best its a negotiating tactic by Cody to get that loot. Honestly, if he goes to WWE and gets a large payday, this will rise a lot of people's stocks by default so it's be good for a lot of "the boys" contracts going forwards.

Oh 100%. I love having that thought in the back of my mind where “is this legit, is this a work?” gets me all excited to watch it play out honestly.

He was literally Mr. AEW, he would do more media ahead of PPVs than Tony. I even listened to the last conference call and it was Cody taking the questions....and then he repeated half the call for a promo like 2 days later on Dynamite
