He's unbelievable. It's hard to believe PWI and every other wrestling critic was slamming the fuck out of him up until he signed with WWE because he "couldn't connect with a crowd/wasn't marketable". Bet all of those people feel like humongous douchebags now.

Mark Madden said "He couldn't draw money if you stuck him in super glue and dragged him through a bank vault." :lmao

LOL PWI.

Those are the biggest marks out there. Meltzer and co. are a close second tho.

Yeah I'm pretty embarrassed I used to read that magazine. Of course, it was before I was active on boards and learned to know better, so that's my excuse.

Well right now Punk is far more over than Bryan which is too be expected considering how long hes been up there compared with him and because of what his natural flair for character. His chracter has been weak in recent months but there is down to the booking of it. I am all in favour of this change.

He is? Can you explain the majority of fans chanting YES! when ever they see him now? They have also chanted YES! in TNA because Daniel Bryan made that word catchy. Now that he isn't chanting YES! but rather NO!, the fans are still chanting YES! just to piss him off. He has a great connection with the crowd. I do not think any other heel has had that sort of connection with the crowd for a while.

I am glad to see that We Are Legion and I aren't the only ones that think Daniel Bryan is more entertaining at the moment. :Red:

It's confession time. I once said "Bryan Danielson will be another Kofi Kingston," meaning that he'd be an IC champ someday maybe. It's so awesome to be wrong.

Yeah but Punk also gets great crowd reactions on a regular basis and at one point (still maybe) he was the highest seller of merchindise in the company I also would say that up to this point he has delievered better ratings/buyrates than Bryan. Don't get me wrong this is not a knock on Bryan I love the guy and he is really producing the goods right now and getting over big time but imo not yet on Punk's level.

Do you even look at the WWE ratings thread?

Why is this becoming a Bryan vs Punk thread? Both guys got their own reason why they are great.

This is all these threads become, one long drawnout argument between two people who are arguing about something that doesn't have anything to do with the original post.

That or someone disagrees with the circle jerk groupie love of someone and they get attacked for 4 pages.

But I wasn't just talking about recent ratings if that is what you are getting at. Besides even through Punk has been champion for ages he certainly has not been pushed as the top star.

Yes, I understand what you mean. I would like to see Bryan with the belt because I think he is the most entertaining wrestler in the WWE right now. He can have segments with a psychologist that are great! Considering that he is on fire at the moment, I think it would be the perfect time to give him a long title reign. I rather see him as champion than Sheamus.....
