Clint Eastwood’s ‘American Sniper’ Starring Bradley Cooper to Bow on Christmas Day

Clint Eastwood’s war pic “American Sniperâ€￾ starring Bradley Cooper is now set to bow with a limited release on Christmas Day.

The Warner Bros.-Village Roadshow co-production pic also stars Sienna Miller and Luke Grimes and will expand to a wide release in January.

Cooper will also produce.

The move shows that the studio sees this as another awards contender. Chances are, they will give it a hard push during award season.

The film is based on the true story of a Navy SEAL sniper whose is credited with the most confirmed kills in U.S. military history.

Warners also announced that it is moving “Man from Uncleâ€￾ from its January 2015 release date to August 14, 2015 and that the “Point Breakâ€￾ reboot will shift back a week from August 7, 2015 to July 31, 2015.

I Clint Eastwood directed movie count me in and his film are always in award contention it seems.
