I am not really into Christmas movies. I mean the one I like the most and don't mind watching every year is Elf. That is probably the only Christmas movie I still enjoy, as stupid as it is.

Elf is my other all-time favorite. It's a tie for my favorites between Santa's Little Helper, Elf, and smiling.

No love for Jim Carrey's version of How The Grinch Stole Christmas though?

That is more of a Halloween movie but yeah, I like it. I guess it is a 50/50 movie.

When it came out, I liked it but I got bored of it. I don't need to see it ever again. I watched it like 10 times, that is enough. lol

Stranger Than Fiction was really good. It's one of those movies where it's funny, but it's not a comedy necessarily. If that makes sense.

Although I'm curious to know just
what are the general "qualifications"
for a Christmas film...

I mean if the events in the film take
place at Christmas does that make
it a Christmas film?

I don't consider that a Christmas movie simply because it is about an angel teaching a man a lesson. It happens to be around Christmas time. It could have taken place another time of the year and still worked but again, Christmas was chosen because it is a universal holiday most people celebrate.

That can be said about every "Christmas" movie as well.. you know that, right?

Tell me a Christmas movie where Christmas is essential to the plot.. and don't tell the the animated Christmas classics or whatever.
