I feel the same as Mike on this one. I would have rather seen him debut on RAW running in on CM Punk as a heel than this. My mixed reactions are starting to bleed away on this one leaving only a bitter taste in my mouth about Christians return. Bad move IMO....bad bad move.

He didn't look like a returning star at all..just Christian, the old wwe midcarder returns to the wwe...I didn't like it at all? But some fans reactions make me laugh, apparently it's a huuuuge moment, but considering the reaction he got live, I think that it's was just a big buzz for the smart fans..he's not that over at all.
I'm also intrigued a little, I still think there are bigger plans for him, and this victory over the ECW champ may be just the beginning, could be wrong, and couldn't care less.
I didn't like him before, I still don't, and he won't save the wwe lol

Damn I wish I saw that. Instead of turning to it in the at the end of that segment. I would have seriously busted a nut if I did.

Has anyone thought of this logical explantion, what will happen in 09'

~Christian to ECW after Matt to Smackdown makes it fair as if nothing happened.
~Christian beats Swagger at Mania and gets a title belt under his waist
~Christian becomes a giant face getting momentum behind him
~Come July he gets drafted to Raw or Smackdown

Can I just say, Christian absolutely buried Jack Swagger in that opening promo. Sure, Swagger got his own back ("I know you couldn't hack it here before, so you left ...") but Christian left a good impression.

A dirty win immediately prior to the title match at NWO is good booking. Loose ends remain untied, Christian earns a slight push in the right direction, storyline for ECW Championship at WMXXV begins, and I seem to have uncovered a mancrush for Christian.

Most plausible... :y:

Let's face it if the WM thing happens then within 2 months he's already had the biggest moment of his singles career!

I only just found this out.
Im going to watch ECW now, damn, this is good, him and swagger, then he can move to SD in the future.

Its great to see a big name in ECW.

Lol at Chuck but Airfixx; I know that would make the most sense.

In a month and a bit if he gets the ECW title at Mania beating Swagger, and loses it before July. That would be his highlight for his career and would make him a main eventer, so when he moved to Raw or Smackdown via Draft he won't have to start from the bottom in the mid card.

honestly, his WM20 match with Jericho was more a highlight than a potential ECW title..this title doesn't mean anything

^^^ Winning a title (consider it a midcard belt if you insist) at the 25th anniversary of WM WOULD be bigger than his match at WM20 (in front of 20,000-ish people).

Why would you think anything else?

You're talking the same stature of match (by your estimation), but in front of a crowd at least 3 times the size... Plus he'd get to celebrate the title win as a face (thus he gets a positive ovation) afterwards (Whilst at WM20 he stole the win thanks to Trish and quickly darted back to the locker room).

I think we had too high of expectations for his return to be honest. We all know that WWE doesn't acknowledge...that other company.... so why would they start now. He's coming in strong as a face, and already he's getting a title shot at Wrestlemania. Only recently has the ECW title become a mid-card affair. Was it so when Angle was chasing it? Or Big Show? Or Benoit was about to pick it up? Perhaps Christian can finally bring some interest back to ECW. It's supposed to be the home of exciting, hungry young superstars. Alright, let's see it now.
