And to the point by the op, Wrestling fans know full well how some people who do more heinous things than giving out expired/false information in a collision, are defended, and often praised because "why should that have impacted his professional career?".

No jail time because he's a celebrity and the states in which these incidents happen are too fucking stupid to convict a celebrity on top of their game.
