Yeah I think he's an idiot regardless and hope he learns from it. I don't personally find much difference between this and Jeff Hardy outside the fact that with Jeff it wasn't his first rodeo. but to me its the exact same risk - reckless driving and brandishing a pistol puts just as many peoples lives at risk than driving drunk. maybe a hot take though so I apologize if that offends some ppl

Honestly, machismo in response to situations like that might be even worse than the original person because it’s like you’ve seen them escalate the situation. Now let’s just deescalate the situation and just leave.

When my neighbor was holding the gun outside, he kept saying I needed to watch myself and I needed to watch it and I was like I’m not sure if the gun is necessary I’m just looking for my cat but fair enough my friend I’m going inside.

Imagine if someone like Seth Rollins took to X and posted about say Jimmy Uso getting a DUI and going "hey you jerks, we all make mistakes."

Like the people seemingly defending MJF's tone deaf comments wouldn't be shitposting about him for 10 pages.

Both really
they usally go hand in hand truthfully, I've never had an intelligent conversation with someone that's had a few too many.

Yeah I see so many accidents and the same weaving in and out of traffic like a maniac that hes accused of legit almost everyday. So forget about the gun even though it's obviously the worse part, that shit just pisses me off, people weave in and out of traffic to knock 2 minutes off a commute, fuck out of here

On the alcohol, what makes that even worse tho is you're in even less control, so higher risk. But it's scarier to me that people also just drive like idiots sober, sometimes I almost wish they were drunk bc as bad as that is I can almost rationalize an addiction mindset easier than just being that dumb on the road

This doesn’t really need to turn into another tribalism argument.

All of this is crazy and not the news I expected to wake up to this morning.

I'd say it actually isn't no matter what some people said and a good rule of thumb is when the site is accused of being biased both ways in the same thread :lol means we're actually being reasonable for once

yeah I know exactly what you mean. I'm not going to stand here and say I've never driven like a fool, esp in my youth, but I can say the worse I've done is just general purpose speeding back then. I never understood the weaving and the getting inches away from people, or trying to intimidate or run people off the road.

Perhaps things would change if we treated cars as if the were dangerous weapons when operated in that manner and start charging people with assault or attempted assaulted on top of motor-level charges. I dunno. That shit really pisses me off too and I've gotten into a few accidents due to it had I not had lightning reflexes to go into the shoulder

Reckless driving, pointing guns at strangers - a simple mistake, something only a great dude and a badass would do, obviously

What an incredible message from your world champion and the "future of the business"...

I don’t think that was his intended message with that tweet, but I could be wrong. I dunno though.

I mean - MJF is still a heel and he cares a lot about people at the same time. I don't think what he said was incorrect either in the sense it's true that it was a mistake. Just a fairly large and public mistake.

I also think it's important not to feel targeted by a twitter post that is likely aimed at other twitter posts probably saying stuff like he should kill himself etc. Context probably matters here and if I put myself in MJFs shoes I understand why he tweeted that, even if I don't really agree with downplaying ppl being upset about it. I think it's legit to be upset to be upset but I don't think MJF is endorsing Cash's actions, either. He's likely just upset his friends messed up and is getting raked over the coals publicly, which is hard to deal with.

Lets not reach a verdict before their court date amigos.
fwiw, I don't really need the courts to decide my opinion. being found not guilty in a court of law doesn't really mean no wrong doing was done, just that there is not enough evidence to prosecute.

fair or not, court of public opinion is and always will be a thing
