When the subject of the 2000s ROH was being discussed:

“Ring of Honor of that era tried to show some respect to professional wrestling,.‘Sure, we had some wacky stuff. Sure, we had the the flippy dippy do… was coming into fashion but, you know, the flippy dippy do was going on with Édouard Carpentier too.”

“Ring of Honor, there was some good pro wrestling going on in that segment of it but right now, Ring of Honor it’s like no one cares at all. I don’t care how much money Tony Khan has. It’s not being treated very well.”

This is not even to knock anyone but I would think a majority of the wrestling world would agree. And that's not to say that it's bad because it's not.

I compare it a lot to WWE trying to rebrand ECW. After a while, it was an ok wrestling show. But because of the fact that it was called ECW, people kinda looked down on it.

If ROH was called anything else, I don't think anyone would have anything negative to say about it. There's a lot of great talent on that brand.

That's just my 2 cents

Without Tony there is no ROH currently. But yeah it is not really a focus at all (which I get). Honestly I feel it would benefit from having it's own roster and a soft spilt. Maybe even someone else to book it to free Tony up to focus on the main AEW shows

I’ll be forever grateful that Tony didn’t let it die but at a certain point it’s not that much better off if you get what I mean. It does need to have its own roster and its own tapings at some point.

I think having someone else book it might be the way to go, especially once it has its own roster.

I’ve said before I don’t think dynamite and collision needs to be split, but since ring of honor is supposed to be its own company there should definitely be an AEW and ROH split.

And the interesting thing is is that there are plenty of people that aren’t used super consistently that are being paid by AEW so you could easily take a bunch of guys that would benefit greatly from having a separate brand to work consistently.

I echo the sentiment of creating its own roster and acting as a soft roster split. Maybe a hint of "developmental" too in that if you need to build yourself up, go there. I think the fact it is locked on Honor Club too is a bit disappointing since that creates a smaller viewership.

I'm not even joking, in an ideal world, ROH rather than being in AEW arenas before AEW tapings, it'd have its own version of Full Sail/The Impact Zone where it is a more intimate setting. Then you have some people not TK book it primarily with TK just checking in on occasion to make sure if there's anyone who appears both in ROH and AEW that there's consistency. Then you tape maybe 3 weeks at a time (3 hours) with occasional Bonus matches for YT. ROH belts keep them on ROH mostly. Then the only hope also would be to get a TV deal or a streaming deal where even if it isn't a super large one, just give it more options for people to tune in. For people to potentially book ROH, I'd point to Chris Hero who already works backstage for AEW and has ROH history, Jerry Lynn who already works with ROH, and then maybe one more.

They have multiple Sunday tapings during the Arlington Collision residency added now. The best TK ROH was the first few months when TV was taped at universal so I'm hoping that captures more of that vibe. But what they do after idk, you wouldn't think they'd be taping any with normal TV for at least a month though

It didn’t even occur to me to get in Jeff Jarrett on the ROH booking team, but I would 100% support it. Him and Scott D’Amore together is the OG Spike Era TNA booking duo and I would love to see them crack ring of honor together.

That’s right. We could always put Jarrett over there first and then Scott can join him when he can.

Ive been saying for months that ROH hasn't been ran that well when they turned it into AEW Dark 2.0.
