So I write my shows in Pages on MacBook and let me tell you putting it on the forum is a BITCH. Cause the formatting I have in the document doesn't show up on the forum correctly. So I have to go through and make it the proper font and colors. The extra bitch is I can't just highlight the paragraphs and make it happen. Nope, I have to go line by line in order to change the font. I don't know why and it's frustrating haha.

Surely, there must be something I'm doing in correctly or a better solution cause it takes forever to format correctly. Even then the coding screws up sometimes where I gotta fix the spacing or the spoiler highlights somehow become tables within tables within tables.

I imagine thats why a few people use images for their diaries rather than direct pasting. I'm a glutton for punishment so I spend the 10 mins formatting (and then editing the post once its up because preview is never the same as live). It's a bit of a nightmare, although my biggest irritant is when the post is long (like, well, every single post I've done), you have to keep scrolling up and down to click bold or font or whatever, that's what stresses me out haha

You can do the pdf to image deal like Roy Mustang does.

I mean... do you add the BBCodes when you write your shows in that Pages program? Because if not, then yea... of course colors and other stuff don't get transferred.

When it comes to the font, the easiest is to use the Toggle BBCode mode (Square brackets symbol) and just but the font BBCode on it manually.

I do strongly recommend the image method if you are doing a longer show as saves a bunch of time pre-formatting

Most word processors just don't post the formatting for whatever reason I've noticed when you paste onto the site, even Google Docs which is on the Internet itself.

But when copying and pasting from regular ass web pages it keeps all the formatting most of the time, so maybe converting to some sort of HTML first is the solution.

But I think the image version Roy does is the best way and it looks pretty clean, only negative is some content might be harder to search if you need to I guess?

Yeah not being able to search past match results does get a bit tricker but for bigger shows it is so much smoother

As the OP of it, I kind of assumed you had them saved separately somewhere so you could search lol I was thinking more for fans when I said that

My laptop is a bit shit lol. I have a vague notes and just remember key beats but sometimes I have to check back to think "did this happen"

Yeah, I guess I'm just used to copying and pasting on WC and it having the font and style and color already there. I was more or less just irritated that night posting my Nitro show and having to fix a bunch of stuff lol.
