I just can't see WWE willingly taking a gamble like that, doing a left-field finish that would overshadow the match that THE ROCK just competed in. Especially in light of the Survivor Series failure I'm sure they want this to go just right with no bullshit or anyone else getting in the way.

If we really need Brock in this so badly then why not the night on Raw, after while the winner (which I assume will be Cena) is celebrating and looking for what next to do.

*Cue weird sound at the start of Brock's theme, place goes bonkers*

For what it's worth here is the Dave write up from cage side seats:

Apparently, every star from yesteryear is making a return to WWE in some form or another.

Earlier today, reports surfaced that a major former star was in town and he was being picked up by WWE people. Some speculated that Brock Lesnar was that man, thanks to his being in negotiations with the company, but theWrestling Observer is reporting it's someone else.

None other than "The Animal," Dave Batista.

Whether or not he's going to be a part of WrestleMania 28 on Sunday night (April 1, 2012) at Sun Life Stadium is a mystery but if he's getting picked up by company officials, something must be in the works, for now or for later. It's interesting to note, at the very least, that The Rock's last WrestleMania match was against Batista while Batista's last WrestleMania match was against John Cena.

My criticism for Batista returning is basically the same as for Brock but not so much. Awesome if he popped up the night after but again I don't see the point at Wrestlemania.

Basically I think this WM is lacking, but only in regards to the mid/undercard. The "Big" matches already have so much going for them that adding anything else, especially so last minute, would make things too complicated.

I for one would love to see either Brock or Batista returning, but the if it's going to cause a non-finish to Cena/Rock then no thanks. I can can likely see it at the end of the show if anything.

Hoping and praying for Brock but ending up with Batista would be a colossal letdown. A Brock beat down on The Rock after he wins could be huge heel heat, but could also backfire and be quite a big pop due to his absence and recent MMA fame. Either way it could still be a massive attraction match even if it has happened before

Awesome, I'm a big Lesnar mark and if he does return I'll mark the fuck out.

That's another problem I have with this. Lesnar could stand on the ramp during the main event and eat a baby and he would still get pop of the night.

If Brock's going to return, lets make it special (and hopefully unexpected).

As much as I'd like it to be true, I'm guessing this is a smoke screen for someone else, or the WWE probably would have ensured it didn't leak. However, I wouldn't mind him being involved in a Cena heel turn (as someone previously mentioned). That'd definitely peak my interest!

Either way, expect a big return from someone.

- The story going around Miami is that Brock Lesnar has signed a one-yer deal with WWE and will work a "more than Undertaker and less than Goldberg" type of schedule. This report is unconfirmed. Lesnar is in Miami with security and is surrounded by a large group of people shielding him from everyone.
I'm still keeping everything crossed for this :mark:

Maybe they just do the Goldberg deal and play a video for him during Mania and then let him end raw on Monday.

I also read that Batista was indeed picked up by WWE in Miami and would have time to come to wm after competing in a triathlon for cancer charity?

I won't lie though, one or both would be huge gets for SD since they both carried the brand as its face for years and drove ratings

Yeah I think just running a promo vid for Lesnar's return would work fine. Guarantee people's eyes will open right up and they'll be tuning in every Raw waiting for his return.
