I'm excited, Hart has been gone since the incident and it'll be interesting to see what his role will be once he makes his re-debut. As for the Januaru 4th show, if Bret makes an appearance on RAW...things aren't looking good for the iMPACT! rating, I'll leave it at that

Bret's a special treat for all those that keep the faith rather than crossing "the line"...

After all the flag waving, if anyone on this entire forum should be sat suffering '4' hours of pro-Hogan propaganda, it's YOU!

Pffff TNA marks... So damn fickle! : P

^ Did you see ANYWHERE in my post that I wasn't watching TNA iMPACT! on January 4th? I've been waiting for this company to make a move since it's inception, you and everyone else on this forum knows I'm DVR'ing RAW that night no matter who the guest host is. I think TNA is going to pull out all the stops on January 4th, as much as I like Bret Hart, I'm choosing TNA not only because I'm a fan, but to support the company for finally taking a huge risk by going head to head on Monday night.

Not to stir shit up, but what can TNA do that they haven't done already to pull out all the stops, besides trot out a busted ass, over exposed Hulk Hogan?

There are NO names left that they can feasibly use to generate much more interest than the fact that Bret Hart will be appearing on a WWE program. That's not just incredible, it's friggin monumental. What's TNA to offer besides Hogan gettin blown up after a promo? More AJ Styles/Samoa Joe matches that we've sen before? Kurt Angle versus anyone? The ONLY person in the business that over rates himself more than Bret Hart, but draws nothing to indicate he was successful, Jeff Jarrett?? They have nothing on their rosters or payroll or even on remote standby that is anywhere near as intriguing as the thought of Bret Hart gettin work from the company that perpetrated one of the smears on the industry against him. It's going to be surreal. TNA can offer NOTHING of the such, not even close.

I'm not trying to bash TNA, the futile ratings, nonsensical, circular booking and lack of growing fanbase back every deserved criticism the promotion gets, but to insist that TNA will be better off going head to head with Raw with a washed up Hogan as the main draw compared to Bret Hart ending his 12 year WWE exhile is too tough a pill for any wrestling fan to swallow.

holy shit. that was poetic. I agree with you too. TNA can bring anybody in, but they've always haven't been able to generate enough hype to bring more fans in. even all the way back to Sting's return and Kurt Angle, there was a nice jump in ratings, but it didn't put them over the hump. they've really stayed the same, even when building guys up.

It's great having Bret Hart in the WWE. I'm not expecting anything major from him other than putting people over and complaining about 1997, but still, it's Bret Hart. and it goes to show that money can solve any problem.

JR Blogs on Bret:

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has posted a lengthy blog with his thoughts about Bret “The Hitman” Hart returning to WWE in January. As always, you can read JR’s full blog and purchase his delicious BBQ products over at JRsBarBQ.com. Ross wrote:

“Firstly, having Bret Hart return to a WWE locker room and be able to mentor young talents is awesome. Young wrestlers need more positive role models who have made it within the business and Bret would no doubt be a great mentor and coach. I have often wondered why Bret has not been asked or arrangements made for Bret to do be a “reoccurring professor” in WWE’s developmental program, FCW.

“Secondly, Bret would not come back to WWE without a game plan and a strategy. Just as his wrestling matches had a beginning, a middle and an end so would the “Hitman’s” return to WWE especially considering the controversy of Montreal 1997 which is an issue that seemingly won’t die to wrestling historians and aficionados much like the President Kennedy tragedy in Dallas in 1963 to conspiracy theorists.

“Bret is too smart that, IF, he’s coming back to WWE that he has a sound strategy in mind with a predetermined destination. It doesn’t take the class Valedictorian to make an educated guess that destination might logically be Wrestlemania 26.

“Thirdly, if it is physically possible for Bret Hart to have a physical confrontation with his “arch nemesis” Mr. McMahon that attraction could be significant for WM26. When I last saw Bret at the Cauliflower Ally Club function a couple of years ago in Vegas he looked great. Pulling off an entertaining, say, “Street Fight” would not require the participants to have a traditional, wrestling bout of which Bret was the master back in the day.

“I find it hard to believe that if Bret “Hitman” Hart’s name was mentioned so prominently on Monday Night Raw that there is more than simply smoke but also some fire as it relates to this matter and I hope that I’m right as the return of the “Hitman” would be great for the fans and would add a new, fresh and much needed creative element to Monday Night Raw. not to mention enhancing Monday Night Raw’s build to WM26. USA Network should be ecstatic is this matter comes to fruition.

“Some have emailed me about what the potential of Bret returning would mean to the Hart Dynasty and I don’t know that answer. My guess is that the Dynasty would naturally get more exposure but I see this matter as being much more about Bret and Mr. McMahon that any thing else with the goal to create some exciting, new TV moments from its inception through WM26.

“Again, this is purely personal speculation and only one guy’s opinion as I have, as previously mentioned, not spoken to any one in the Hitman or WWE camps about this matter.

“Bottom line is that if Bret Hart returns to WWE that, in my opinion, it will be on Monday Night Raw, it will commence on Monday January 4 and that it will culminate in something big at WM26.

In order to see DX/Hart Dynasty with Bret, HHH and HBK would first have to show up to Smackdown, and that isn't going to happen. The only reason they graced Smackdown with their presence last week was because it wasn't filmed on Tuesday.
Bret will probably have some passing interaction with the Dynasty and nothing more.

What with the tag belts being tri-branded, I'm assuming going to both shows is part of deal in becoming champs... Then again it's 2 of Vince's 'Untouchables' so who knows....

Mind you, already being up 2-0, if DX carry on like this any potential a HD/DX fued held will be dead and buried.

LMAO @ the rules applying to HHH and HBK.

Why the hell do you think they still have Jericho doing double duty, DX have no intentions of doing it in order to put over the Dynasty.

Jericho's still on Raw?

Who's knows wdf they're thinking/up to... I can't bring myself to bother witH Raw OR SD atm... Although keeping up by means of reading results isn't nearly the same, it's just not worth investing 3/4 hours of my week watching the crap they're peddling these days. (Sucks because I am a firm believer in the 'you gotta watch it, to get it' approach to wrestling).

Oh yeah, Jericho was Santa last night sitting on Big Show's lap while fighting midgets.

No... I'm not joking.

(See spoilers thread) ...This week's SD doesn't sound too much better for Y2J either.)
