Honestly, can't think of a better plan than to move Raw to Saturday mornings and aim that directly at the kids... Keep the belt on Cena for 11 1/2 months a year and have Vince & his writing drones 'nurture the fabric of our nations' children' from there...

Then with SD give the rest of the mature/maturing world, I dunno, call me radical... A WRESTLING SHOW... No need for loads of blood and sensationalism, just a wrestling show where we can actually ENJOY some of the most entertaining workers in the business today doing their thing.

And it just really gets me because I think the company is at a point where at this point they have probably the best in ring workers and young up and coming guys that they have ever had on the roster. Jericho, Edge, CM Punk, Morrison, Miz, Sheamus, Drew, Christian, Orton, Legacy, Harts, Ryder... all of these guys they can build such an amazing product on.
Yet they choose now to water down the product with horrific skits, celebrity guest hosts and a champion who doesn't appeal to anyone over the age of 12?
You know what, someone who is marketed towards children isn't the only person who is going to sell merch. How many Stone Cold, HHH and Rock t-shirts did you see back in the day? A hell of a lot more than your see John Cena shirts, that's for damn sure.
They don't NEED blood and raunchy sex to make a wrestling show and it's kind of admirable that they're trying to cut out the latter to a certain extent. A more family friendly product isn't a horrible idea but no one said that family friendly has to mean aimed at people under the age of 10.

They've got phenomenal workers on the card right now and the best up and coming talent they've possibly ever had... and it's all going down the drain.

SD's on it's way to being real shitty too. DX are going to be on there now and since Hornswaggle is always with him now, be on the look out for him to be on the show too.

All we can do at this point is hope for the best with TNA as it seriously is our last hope apparently. Aside from WWE's once a year cock tease (see this year's 3 hour RAW with Ventura) the product is all but dead and buried.

Agreed 100%. I could even add guys like MVP, Primo, Christian, Masters, Bourne and other to that list.

...And yeah, 'Family Friendly' doesn't have to mean infantile. To be honest, I couldn't even imagine myself being entertained by WWE if I was their target age... By comparison, the 80's WWF I grew up with may have been "cartoonish" and "larger than life" but there was still a tone of seriousness to the stroylines and, as is poignent right now, the heels...

...And no top guys being 'terrorised' by midgets.

I got into wrestling probably a little before around the Attitude Era...so I suppose mid-90's.....1995...something like that. But anyway if I were a kid there is no way in hell I would watch this garbage. The only reason I do now is because it's just one of those things I grew up with that I continue to watch in hopes that they'll put something decent on once in a while.
Believe it or not most kids abandon wrestling pretty quickly. All it takes it a few comment of how fake it is from their friends and how it's not cool. Most kids move on to other things pretty quickly.
WWE did a damn good job of building lifer fans with the Attitude Era and essentially bent us all over in the past 3 or 4 years.

Wow, well fucking said, 100% agreed this is the truth.

TNA ftw, only thing I'm excited to watch nowadays. Wish it was live though.

Fuck that. I started watching some PWG and that is leagues better than anything being offered from TNA or WWE.
