Not a bad thing really. I'm sure there are tons of people who would tune is to see Hogan wrestle again. Physically we know he cannot wrestle a full schedule. If he puts over at least one or two young stars that in itself would be worth it. I'm leaning more towards the possibility of him running programs with guys like Nash, Foley and Sting TBH.
They already did the "prove yourself" angle with AJ and Sting, so I really don't see him coming near AJ for the time being..
AND BISCHOFF!? CMON, BISCHOFF IS THE SHIT!

If anything, If TNA goes against WWE Raw on Mondays then the good things we might get, No more or lack off PG crap. But with Linda going for political shit she going for then i wouldn't hold my breath. But TBH that is what WWE needs. Some good competition.TNA have some good shit going on right now. They are bringing new and young wrestlers through. WWE not so much. Hogan is a good buy for any wrestling company. Even so i think it will be hard work topping WWE in money or Ratings. I am just hoping the scare is big enough to put shits up WWE.

Regardless of how close TNA comes to WWE in the ratings it's going to force both companies to step up their product.
TNA is going to give people something fresh to watch on Monday's apart from the same old shit that's going on in WWE right now.
And as said before, it's put up or shut up time for WWE in pushing young stars right now. Because even if some fans don't take notice in TNA's product...some young WWE stars might.

Good point. Especially at the moment when TNA is pushing young stars. It's the dangling carrot Effect. And TBH it is good that WWE may have some new competion on Mondays. We might start to get a bit more edgey WWE. If it's true then WWE has got to step up. Simple as. Im not really Big TNA Fan but i do watch now and again. And this could be the best thing that has happen to WWE in Awhile.

I don't know exactly how credible Wrestlezone is, so people shouldn't be getting too excited about this. But if it is true (would like to see a credible source report it first) there are a few things to think about:

Hogan is bigger than any ten guys TNA has, his name is more recognizable to long time fans than TNA, he has stayed fairly relevant with his shows, people love the guy. But his name value alone wasn't enough to save WCW ten years ago and it won't be enough to even make TNA truly viable competition to WWE, he'd have to generate three times the audience TNA does and that just isn't realistic.

Eric Bischoff had a great idea and ignited the wrestling boom of the 90's, but his lousy leadership ability and arrogant attitude helped sink the ship faster than he got it floating, Hogan as well. Don't get me wrong, I think he's an entertaining onscreen performer, but his last great idea was 13 years ago and he burnt that shit to death, so what can he really do for TNA in a creative role? He won't have the resources he had in WCW and there isn't exactly hot names that he can take to stack the deck. Guys like Kennedy, Umaga, Kendrick et al, aren't exactly going to do for TNA what names like Luger, Nash, Hall, Savage etc. defecting to WCW did.

That being said, TNA, even if they went on a HUGE talent sweep, even with Hogan and Bischoff and eventually dead beat Flair, the ratings will increase, but not so substantially that it will re-ignite Monday Night Wars. Not trying to rain on people's parade, but that's how it is, it was big news 15 years ago when WCW signed Hogan, but for TNA to recreate that kind of buzz, they'd need to sign Steve Austin or the Rock, they are basically what Hogan was 15 years ago. Hogan to TNA is more akin to Terry Funk working for ECW, than Hogan to WCW.

That's what I'm saying. All of those guys perpetually stuck on the mid-card and the guys they refuse to push... better watch your ass Vince.

What makes you think they will get a push in TNA? I haven't watched TNA in a while, but isnt the main event pretty much overcrowded?

Also, I highly doubt Vince is scared any of his midcard guys will jump ship. There is a reason certain wrestlers are "perpetually stuck in the midcard"

^I think you're taking this to the extreme.

Hogan and Bischoff are TNA's biggest signings to date. His debut won't necessarily bring in a completely new audience into the product but I'm quite sure will attract nearly 100% of loyal wrestling fans out of curiosity of exactly what he's going to be doing.
No one is saying they're going to triple their audience and ratings over night in time to automatically start a new Monday night wars. However putting them head to head with WWE in their current state can't be a bad thing. Certain older wrestling fans barely clinging on to WWE and becoming tired of their kid aimed product might see it and say "hey, this company has a little more edge than WWE".
TNA isn't going to LOSE any fans by going to Monday nights. The same people who loyally watch it will continue to do so. And those who miss the Monday night wars will tune in for that nostalgia of 3 solid hours of wrestling on Monday nights. And the exact same thing will happen as did with WCW. Some fans will decide they enjoy TNA's product more than what WWE currently has to offer.
And as said, some of WWE's talent may even decide they like the product better and jump ship. WWE is full of young guys they currently refuse to pull the trigger on or are booking horribly. That right there should be enough to worry WWE. If they're not going to book them right, someone else is.
And Bischoff will most likely do the same thing for TNA as he did for WCW in a creative role...elevate it to a point where they are able to compete with WWE ratings wise. I'm sure Bischoff has learned from his mistakes and I really don't see him running TNA into the ground. The company has hit some pretty low points over the past few years... I don't see them going anywhere but up.

TNA will lose fans though. Most people who watch TNA also watch WWE. That was proven the last time they went head to head. TNA ended up losing like half their viewers.

TNA's product is in quite better shape than it was at that point if I remember correctly.
To be honest up until about a month ago I really wasn't a fan of TNA either. It's grown on me quite a bit and at this point I honestly prefer it to WWE. It's a complete possibility that it will grow on a lot of other people as well.
Regardless of what happens in the end, this is the most exciting thing to happen to wrestling in a long time.

Tbh if I had to choose, I'd watch an entertaining iMPACT over a boring, repetitive Monday Night RAW.

When does Hogan make his debut. I'll tune in to see him at least once.

Ive tried to get into TNA a few times, but it just wasn't for me. I believe it really doesn't get much better than Cena and Orton, in and out of the ring. I have really no reason to watch anything else when the two top professional wrestlers in the world are on Monday nights.

I don't think a date has been set for Hogan's debut. Just the fact that he's signed.

Sounds to me like TNA is committing suicide.

PREDICTION TIME:

Who will be first to be scooped up by WWE? lol

I can't see them doing too badly. They could potentially bring in Kennedy, Umaga and Jeff Hardy, along with Hulk Hogan. If there was ever a time for TNA to test out how they could go against WWE, now would be the time.

LOL

TNA SIGNS...

Kennedy (who hurts people for real in ring)

Hulk Hogan (fucked up in general, suicidal, crazy family, divorced, drug addict)

Jeff Hardy (need I say anything at all?)

I love how TNA could get away with these kind of things
