I defintely want some blood in wrestling. WWE likes to promote their matches a "hellacious" or "barbaric" yet everyone escapes unscathed. A Hell in the Cell match with no blood is a joke. Wrestling has gotten too soft , you want to show the kids that what you're doing is dangerous, a little blood goes a long way in driving that point home.

For me blood in very personal feuds helps set the storyline in matches, and just in some match types in general (EC, HIAC, etc.).

I find it strange watching a HIAC with no blood honestly, after comparing it to some of the HIAC matches in the passed. The blood shows how much they're willing to go through to destroy the other, and it just hasn't shown in recent matches.

Absolutely right. It has no real sense of danger anymore. We know it's an act and we don't really want people to get hurt, but getting hurt is part of the job.

Uh, apparently in the past they've used razors to cut themselves. They've also used blood capsules. Definitely not ketchup ^^

They carry small razors, it's known as "blading" (YouTube it to see wrestlers caught doing it). They make a small incision in their forehead, once hit in that cut it goes everywhere. I've not seen blood capsules.

Yeah blading is with razors.
But when they are bleeding from their mouth it's a capsule.
Like in this video, I was really scared of Kane when I was young. Warning: scary stuff:

I disagree. You don't need blood - a match can be great without it. However, blood definitely adds more top personal feuds.

Did I say that? I can't see or remember me posting that. Hmmm.

Anyway - HIAC shouldn't be an annual gimmick PPV. Superstar A and Superstar B have a feud over the title, it's not personal at all it's just a random feud, so let's put them in this massive historic structure for no reason. No, blood shouldn't be used for matches like that because matches like that shouldn't exist. Use the HIAC format for feuds which are so personal they need this "demonic structure" to end it. Then you use blood to sell the feud.
