IGN, with the help of Box Office Mojo and BoxOffice.com, has put together a list of the biggest movie flops of 2012.

Rock of Ages -- Budget: $75 mln; Domestic: $38.5 mln; Foreign: $17.8 mln

Ruby Sparks -- Budget: $8 mln; Domestic: $2.5 mln; Int'l: $3.9 mln

Wanderlust -- Budget: $30 mln; Domestic: $17.3 mln; Int'l: $4.2 mln

The Watch -- Budget: $68 mln; Domestic: $35.4 mln; Int'l: $32.6 mln

Won't Back Down -- Budget: $25 mln; Domestic: $5.3 mln; Int'l: N/A

Anyone seen any of these?

Battleship actually did decent business over here as it was released before Avengers. It was domestic sales that fucked it over.

How did The Watch spend 68 million?

Most of those made their moneyback internationally by the numbers.

I thunk that looking at them they are only considered flops because of what they did domestically.

I did see john carter and did not think it was as bad as it was made out to be

I absolutely loved The Watch. Not shocked it was a flop in the box office, though. Wasn't much advertisement and I believe they changed the name from The Neighborhood Watch to The Watch (probably has nothing to do with it but I decided to mention it anyway). Great movie, though. Hilarious.

I saw Bsttleship and Rock of Ages.

I loved Battleship, it had some great scenes.
Rock of Ages had a horrible script but the music was good. Tom Cruise should become a singer if he quits acting because he's really good.

I really want to see Rock of Ages, I have this weird feeling I'd really enjoy it.

Battleship is on my to watch list too as is Dredd 3D, The Watch doesn't look too bad either.

What, no one wants to see "The Oogieloves In The Big Balloon Adventure"?

Look who the stars are. Stiller and Vaughn would have cleared 15 mil apiece while Hill probably got close to 12. That's 42 mil just on three actors, none of which really deserve that kind of money.

As for the list, I've seen a few of them. I thought Dredd and Premium Rush were fantastic while Battleship and John Carter were poop.
