Yeah like I told Booty in our DMs, I grew up on cartoon network so I didn't have much of an attachment to Saturday morning cartoons except for feeling sorry for the kids that didn't have any of those channels and could only watch them on Saturdays:slip:

Saturdays were just the easiest was to sell cartoons to advertising because Saturdays kids were guaranteed to be home, not in school or doing afternoon homework.

You just band like 8 cartoons in a 4-hour block. Easy.

Cartoon Network though sounds like it would have been cool to have as a kid, but it was definitely after my childhood for the most part.

Yeah it was all I watched for the longest lol had variety with anime with Toonami too so I got into stuff like DBZ. That late 90s and early 2000s run of cartoon cartoons as they were branded was fucking crazy, and there was also boomerang for older stuff like Flintstones and Jetsons that I watched a lot too

2007 really was the last hurrah for cartoons for a while because Cartoon Network had arguably its greatest lineup of all time (Chowder, Foster's Home, Ed Edd n Eddy, Billy & Mandy, Courage, Class of 3000, What's New Scooby-Doo, Samurai Jack, Justice League Unlimited, Futurama, Family Guy, DBZ, Cowboy Bebop, Bleach, Naruto), Nickelodeon had an incredible lineup (Fairly Godparents, SpongeBob, Danny Phantom, Avatar: The Last Airbender, My Life as a Teenage Robot), and Disney was still doing gangbusters with Kim Possible.

After that, Disney slowly declined (before coming back with Owl House and Amphibia), Cartoon Network died for a while, and Nickelodeon stagnated.

Too afraid to check it out. It may be good but I was afraid to.

I think the best thing to do is not compare it to the original and take the writing and characters as wholly different interpretations (since it has some pretty heavy LGBTQ themes (same goes to Amphibia and Owl House)).

That is hard for me since I grew up in the 80's when most of those were put out weekly. I can check it out at some point in the future.
