Okay but their most popular songs don't always mean their best or most meaningful lmfao.
I never said it did. You said Pearl Jam were famous for like two songs and I said with Nirvana it's kind of the same thing.

How does that even have anything to do with what I said lmao
you said "the rest of their songs are for the fans" , thats incorrect as you have absolutely no way of knowing this or any basis to say this. its super predictionary and pretty much mere steps away from purely talking out of your behind. i say this with as much respect as possible, but ya, the fuck are you even talking about at this point

To be fair. I don’t think he means they was wrote for the fans. But that unless you’re a fan you probably don’t know the songs.

I never said it did. You said Pearl Jam were famous for like two songs and I said with Nirvana it's kind of the same thing.
The issue is that it wasn't. I pointed out exactly why they weren't the same.

Nirvana from 1991-1993 was the exact same thing as The Beatles from 1964-1966. They were everywhere, and their merchandise was all sold irrespective of what songs they were putting out after their #1 hits. I mean ffs, Nirvana redefined an entire genre and recultivated a huge change in popular culture.

Quite literally, popular culture before The Beatles and after The Beatles were so radically different, and it's the same with Nirvana; pop culture before Nirvana was not the same as after it.

but thats also a massive generalization, not everyone just listens to top 40 and lets the masses decide what to listen to. not to mention most pop bands have multiple singles per album so its not even numerically accurate in generalization. im just pointing out stating opinions like they are fact is kind of shit lol but I guess to be expected with the source material

Nah man I'm literally saying with most bands... you ask people name a song by said band and there's a few songs that MOST people will go to first. Most bands have a few songs that are known by literally everyone and all other songs are known more by just their fanbase.
