Why can't I lmao. Is there a law

No, but the opinion holds no weight.

It’s like if I said Shania Twain is the greatest country artist when I can’t name a second artist I like. People who actually like country would devour my opinion.

well it kind of takes away from Nirvana too, like congrats on being the king of poo

It’s basically saying you’re one of the good ones. Not the complaint you think it is.

Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains were waaaaaay below Nirvana when it came to public consciousness. Nirvana in the early-90s was like The Beatles in that they were everywhere.
yeah just a very very short run. what like, 88 to 94 and really didnt blow up till 91. so really was only 3 years. MASSIVE 3 years though

True but Nirvana are considered by many to be the greatest grunge band of all time so my opinion holds weight based on just that

Pearl Jam's biggest claim to fame in most people's eyes are quite literally two songs: Even Flow (a song about homelessness), and Jeremy (a song about teen suicide).

Yes, and I'm very sure a majority of those people have not only listened to other grunge bands, but also actively like them, so of course, what they say would at least have some consideration.

So? Smells Like Teen Spirit is Nirvana's claim to fame. Yes, obviously they have other popular songs but that one is the one everyone knows are arguably why they've lasted so long
