Batista Reportedly Taking Some Time Off After WWE's Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View

Batista is apparently taking some time off after WWE's Extreme Rules pay-per-view as he is not currently being advertised for any WWE events after that show, including RAW the next night from Albany, NY. He is also not advertised for the big European tour that kicks off in May.

It was reported back when Batista signed with WWE that he was expected to take some time off to do promotional work for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy but that movie doesn't open until August 1st.

If it's true then it will be interesting to see how they handle his exit from TV as the most logical option seems to give Roman the rub by pinning him.

Not sure to be honest, I just don't feel like he has that appeal as a face that anyone really wants to see nowadays. I think it's just easier to keep him heel to be honest and if the wants him turned then turn him rather than trying to force another face push on us. He should just go full on Hollywood Rock Batista to be honest.

Batista will never be face again. People booed the shit out of Del Rio all year and when he went up against Batista he was instantly a crowd favorite just because of how hated Batista is.

And I don't think his movie has anything to do with his popularity. Its a Marvel movie. That almost sells itself and he's not even the star. They're at least 4 other celebrities in that movie that have way more drawing power then Dave will ever have.

Don't have to be a face to go after Authority. Go it the lone wolf routine, if the fans want to cheer Batista getting a whopping, then book it.

But you need to think about the heat still on Hunter and Orton, and a ruthless attack on Dave for just being the one who got pinned would certainly keep that going.
