Indeed. WCW needed a new direction though. 1992 WCW prided itself on not being a cartoon like WWF, but that wasn't the case in 1996. Even without the nWo, WCW need to change course somehow.

Diamond Studd is something that could have worked if they added the edge to it, but I just wonder without the nWo, do WCW just stay stuck doing more traditional, family-oriented entertainment
