Good post from Sky although I think it's unfair to say I've only engaged in game content when prompted. I've given quite a few town reads this game, and if anything it's just as important as scum hunting early on.

I was referring to when you posted that, which was like 6 posts of yours in. You'd not posted anything outside of the fluff phase until Poyser challenged you, despite yourself claiming to want to get out of the fluff phase quickly

I guess all I can ask is what has been wrong with my play outside of the Nom vote, as I have given town reads and not everybody has posted yet so trying to make good scum reads is hard.

Like Haza said, doesn't it paint a massive target on my back to make a weak vote as you put it and then backtrack completely. Whichever way you look at it, it looks terrible. I shouldn't have made it from the start if it didn't have any merit. I thought it did, people responded and changed my mind, so I unvoted. Just usual town process.

Acknowledging bad play is bad doesn't make it less bad. Especially if you paint it in a way like "Oh, I'm better than this"

Fair, I guess all I can to say to that is I'm not going to invent reads just to follow my town meta if I'm town. That's scum play to make up fake reads if you have nothing. I'll just play and comment on something suspciious when I see it and people town as I see it. Poyser called my entrance awkward, and there's not really much to defend to that because I didn't think I was all that awkward and it based on two posts as I literally entered the thread.

It's not exactly a dichotomy between "offer nothing" and "make up fake reads". You can, you know, try to drag the game into serious mode like you said you wanted to do

Jeff, I don't really have any thoughts outside TFW backtracking being potenshally too scummy to be scum and Phenom giving Sky a free pass a bit odd when she was under no pressure

At this point I feel there's less reason to think TFW is town than anyone else. So you putting your weight behind him is going to make it look like you knew his alignment

Considering that particular thought process of mine, scum Haza would make most sense with non-scum TFW (because if you were co-scum why wouldn't you just feed him that line in scum chat?? and also for reasons above.

But either way it looks bad, and I want to resolve TFW first of all
