Yeah no offense to Cody but he’s not a guy I’d break the bank for.

Again, wherever he goes, at this point it’s just “meh”

What's great is that if he does, people will say there was no snag in talks and if he doesn't, people will say he was never coming in.

Jacksonville makes sense if Cody wants to come in right now. If he wants to take more time off, Jacksonville doesn't make sense. He can go wherever he wants, nobody is turning him down. It took Danielson from the end of April until August to decide but now everyone thinks he decided in February or something and I can tell you for sure that wasn't the case.

He'll decide when he decides. Obviously WWE wants him this week and won't be happy if he stalls, but it's not like they are going to pull an offer if he wants to stay home for as long as he wants to stay home.

The only thing I know is that he had an idea to change his look, hated it visually, and got rid of the specific change. That's not a tattoo reference.
"That's not a tattoo reference" :lmao

idk to me he's a huge acquisition. I can't really think of too many people AT THE MOMENT who would be bigger.
His name and exposure goes above being just a wrestler. The fact that he's one of the founders of AEW is a huge deal.
He helped prove WWE isn't the only game in town and that if another company really wants to take a shot, they can succeed in their own way.
AEW scored a television deal and has attracted all the top talent including crazy names like Sting, Bryan Danielson, and CM Punk.

So yes, Cody is a pretty big deal imo

That’s the thing…AT THE MOMENT.

In 6 months are we gonna be saying he’s a big deal? Probably not because the rose will be off the thorn

Ok BUT you could say that about any wrestler. At least Cody has SOMETHING coming in that literally no one else has and that counts for something

I mean he absolutely could still be a big deal in 6 months time, I don't see how that's a stretch at all to be honest. I just feel like people are gonna be disappointed regardless because it feels like with all this hype and speculation, nothing short of dethroning Roman within a few weeks will be a let down to them.

I think Raw after Mania is my full hype shelf life, they would at least have to win me back over with some good booking of him if he came later

Personally I think Cody could come in hot. Which is why I said the idea of him tagging with McAfee to work with Theory and Vince wouldn’t have been a bad idea so he can be that babyface that gets revenge on the guy that he feels did him wrong.

Question becomes, is he a consistent main eventer. WWE doesn’t have main of those but will people still be on Cody’s side 6 months to a year from now. I thought people were going to support him in 2013 when him and Dustin were teaming but they gave up 3-4 months in.

Wan't even a maineventer in the company he was an EVP of :TI:

Cody is a midcard guy.....he's in that Miz territory, not a bad place to be imo.
