Well you say he should be lucky that he faced the Rock, but I mean seriously, did Rock/Cena 2 need the WWE Title?

Kind of oddly enough. They needed to make the match feel bigger than the first which was billed as one of their biggest of all time. Adding the title was logical to do that.

It was also billed as "Once In a Lifetime" but Y'know.

IMO, that was why having the title at the center of their WM29 encounter made sense. It gave them a kayfabe excuse for facing one another again (while having something more at stake the second time around) despite the billing of their first match being "Once In A Lifetime."

Adds another reason they needed the title when you think about it, making it once in a lifetime then saying lol we're doing it again because we fancy it doesn't work. "External" circumstances such as the title being on one guy and the other winning the rumble made it look more organic from a kayfab standpoint.

Is it weird that I wouldn't mind Punk leaving? He can just go be on ROH or something. There would be a spot on the roster for someone like Neville or Bo Dallas.

All these silly rumor threads like this that comprise the majority of the discussion around here are complete bullshit.
