Aurora Movie Theater Re-opened after shooting.

I live about 10 minutes from the Aurora theater in which someone took the life of twelve people and injured even more. They reopened the theater this afternoon. What are your opinions on this? Should they have or should if have been torn down? Would you consider me a "bad person" if I went back? Let's discuss.

I actually don't mind that they reopened it and hope that it does well. I don't think you would be a bad person if you went back there. I used to live in Arvada back in the day so I would have gone just to support the theater myself.

Honestly I think they will eventually demolish it. Nobody will forget what happened there and they should just turn it into a memorial for those who died that tragic day.

Regardless of what they do, I think the stigma on that building will never go away for people to enjoy their time seeing a movie. There will always be a lingering thought in the mind of the customer about what happened. Personally, I would go back because you can't let the fear win, but I could definitely see the owners choosing a different location.

I wouldn't consider you a bad person at all if you went back. I mean, we are walking on soil everyday where blood was spilled, right? I mean, we are living on soil where we killed each other in the Civil War with Malice and Hatred in our hearts. We are walking in lands that where taken from people who were here before us. So, no you wouldn't be a bad person, my friend. Its just a part of life we deal with and move on with our lives. Can't let the actions of others prevent us from doing things we want to do. I know if I lived there in May, when Star Trek comes out, I wouldn't care and just go see the movie .

Yeah, I wouldn't be ashamed. People conquering the fear of it will be also showing respect to the people who died in that tragedy.
