Why complain about the name? They had a guy named Homicide for years as their tag team champion. Pretty sure he won the X-Division belt also. I don't mind the name. TJ Perkins is a pretty impressive wrestler, so I'm excited to see what he does.

For one, it's just dumb, at least homicide is harming another person. Suicide is harming yourself, they should have just went all out and have his finisher being him jumping off the top rope to the outside of the ring and missing everyone.

Two, suicide is one of the most touchy subjects around the world right now, no one wants a reminder of it happening, especially not from some wrestling show. Homicide is only touchy if a gun is involved.

The name issue is a tad exaggerated though.

It's not as if a kid is going to hear it and instantly jump off a bridge or hang themselves.

I was massively underwhelmed by his return given how good the return packages actually were. No catchy entrance and I wasn't even blown away by the ring work either other than that spot were he layed on / between the ropes.

I didn't know what to expect in the ring at all since I didn't know who was under the mask at the time, so I wasn't really expecting too much. I was so disappointed by the lack of cool entrance though :(

The name makes no sense at all when think about it and was only chosen to be provocative. As Chris pointed out Suicide is self harm so for the name to make sense this guy should be either a clumsy fool and constantly hurt or a glutton for punishment and beat himself up with weapons/putting himself through tables. Whoever came up with the name thought that they were being smart to get attention but it doesn't fit in a wrestling sense.

Homicide makes sense since in wrestling you are supposed to harm others, his whole gimmick was hurting others to win. You are trying to win matches in wrestling so Suicide as a name doesn't work.

I am not talking about the social issues surrounding Suicide and Homicide as names, it doesn't bother me in that sense. I just don't like the lack of logic.

So you're okay with Homicide which if I recall is harming others. Wasn't he usually a spot monkey anyway?

Have you never seen Homicide's feud with Colt Cabana in ROH?

Also Homicide preferred brawling but he can wrestle any style. I'd insult Suicide again but I think I'll wait until TNA makes me deal with him again.
