Royal Rumble Anyone else think the RR card is a little heavy on tag team matches?

Yeah, because it was stupid to do it in the first place.
Why was it?
I thought it was going to be a fun angle. Plus it fits into Miz's sneaky weasel character to mess with his opponents by messing with their outside lives

When they just dropped it I thought it was going to turn into a face/heel turn for someone. Then it just faded away. I wonder if it will come back up at the RR?

I think they realized that they were weak on the face side of the divas and decided to keep Naomi face. But it still payed off IMO since it added some heat to the feud between the Miz's and the Usos.

I hope they give her the belt finally

Because, 'Don't try to screw my girl/wife' is so original. Sure, it fits Miz's heel character, but to me it was tasteless.

Are you insinuating that the Miz was trying to seduce Naomi? Because that wasn't what was going on at all.

Well, he was kinda sweet-talking her, so it's not like it wasn't a seduction. That was a part of the plan. She'd accept Miz's offer and become more prominent into music business and would also turn on Jimmy, b/c he wasn't cool with some guy trying to take care of his wife and Miz would become the tag champ again.

You sure about that? I completely took it as seduction.. Especially in the backstage statement where he was trying to offer her opportunities.

He meant that since Miz is a "hollywood star" to quote himself, he could get Naomi, who outside of wrestling has a fledgling music career, opportunities in Hollywood with record labels and producers.

Part buttering her up (she was hesitant at first to take him up on the offer. But as the story went on she became more willing), part him wanting to mess with Jimmy.

I can see how it can be interpreted as seduction. But I don't think that was the intention.

Messing with Jimmy was the main point, and what better way to do it than going to his wife and offering her opportunities...

I feel like Miz & Mizdow lost the titles too early. I always thought they were gonna drop 'em to The Usos at the Rumble, but oh well.

In regards to the OP, it's right on the verge of having too many tag matches but personally I wouldn't say it's too heavy.. I'd like to believe it's got these tag matches for now because they will have a crapload of singles feuds going on for the next two PPVs (including WM31).
