I still want Austin to but that's only because I still don't trust his neck to work a full match no matter how much he does. I get where they're coming from with HBK staying retired, but I'd still mark for one more match. They could build it up so huge too, make the crowd always chant it and HBK just play off the chants and ignore it until someone finally gets him to do it by pissing him off enough.

I want Lawler gone... or heel. But they won't turn him, so I just want him gone.

Fair enough,

I want Daniel Bryan to punch HBKs wife in the face.

Legacy don't pay your bills.

Also HBK was taking bumps from Taker, Lesnar and Daniel Bryan, that is still working. So, yeah, he tarnished his whole retirement ceremony based on that logic.

So this also means, Goldberg and Steve Austin should stay retired too.

Yep. One for health reasons and the other because he has nothing to offer anymore, think you can figure which is which.

^ He was never the big deal in WWE than he was in WCW, besides it wouldn't surprise me if half of the current fan base have not even heard of him.

Then explain the Goldberg chants during Ryback matches. Because people like to act like he was only a WCW attraction, when at the height of his popularity he was as well known as Austin or Rock.

Because there were enough adults in their late 20's or early 30's in the audience who remembered him, still doesn't mean they make up the bulk of the audience. Besides it was partly a joke, because of how much Ryback looked and acted like Goldberg, hardly the most flattening thing for either.

Yeah being compared to a guy who was one of the biggest stars of the last boom period is so unflattering.

Care to explain people marking out because he was in a game? People speculating the fuck out of him having a dvd meaning he was going for another run?

Use the smileys when you joke brah......makes it easier.

Wait... kids don't remember the old stars?

I could be mistaken, but EVERYONE in the arena last night chanted "W-O-R-M" for Scotty 2 Hotty (loudest pop on Raw).

Everyone remembers old stars, especially if the E is doing their job reminding them. There are plenty of clips of particular people all the time. Goldberg's DVD was pushed hard as well. And fans chanting Goldberg during Ryback matches surely peaks the interest of kids who want to know wtf the chant is all about. Fans aren't clueless.

Well I still don't buy it. Yeah he was one of the big stars of the last boom period, but his popuarlity faded not long after his streak was ended and WCW fucked up the progressing of his character. His WWE run bombed and that was a decade ago now.

Just because you don't buy it don't make it true.

Star didn't fade after WCW, he was a highly in demand free agent and just because his WWE run was short didn't mean it was terrible. He was the fucking champion ffs, beat THe Rock first match and only had to put over Triple H, name another run like that?

I don't even know why I bother with you sometimes I feel like you don't even watch the current product. Goldberg would be over huuuuge today.

Didn't say his star faded after WCW, but that his star faded post-98 in WCW. Of course he was still in demand when leaving there, because at that point he wasn't washed up, could still be marketed and was in good enough shape to work shoots.

If you don't think his WWE run was terrible then you are more out of touch than me. What does beating the Rock and being world champion have to do with it? Rock was a part-timer on the way out, and of course they were going to push him upon his debut because he was a big name signing, but getting a push, and being successful are two different things.

Whats funny about some wrestling fans, is the way they suddenly become romantic about these guys around Mania season, the rest of the year people on this forum shit all over Goldberg when his name comes up.

Signed a one year deal for a shit ton of money and only had to job once. I'd say that was a pretty successful run.

I don't deal in romance, I deal in reality and back em up with facts not opinions and know the difference. I also just like disagreeing with you, because you are wrong most, if not all the time......boom
