Its not that for me I just think WWE like to give wrestlers different names so that they can trademark them and so that people think of them as WWE creation's and not remembered from the other promotion.

Yes, it's pretty obvious. WWE won't take people's bragging that somebody else created characters of their superstar.

Who even said they are gonna be a tag team though, I mean it's the most obvious route to go but Hero & Castagnoli aren't a team and they were signed around the same time.

I've thought that as well, but I just don't see them being much more than a tag team, whereas Hero and Castagnoli are both great singles guys as well. Shelley probably could, but I don't see Sabin making it as a singles wrestler.

I'm not big on Sabin at all and I swear we had a thread just like this a couple months just a few days after Shelley was making waves about joining WWE. I just don't see much in him and maybe if they went down the tag route with Shelley it would work but Shelley should be allowed to develop his own character in front of a crowd like WWE. Sabin would just a be a sidekick and probably get exposed in backstage promos. He should just hit the Indy scene and put on some exciting matches like that.

I think otherwise. I think that Sabin could make a bigger impact in WWE. Shelley is that guy who would be weekly on Superstars and not getting enough attention just like Barreta.

I think the Motor City Water Guns would a great pickup if they wanted to add a bit of excitement to the tag division. Really think the division, or should I say main roster needs a really good high flying team. They've had it in bursts with Kofi & Bourne and there's also potential with Kidd & Gabriel but they're never on the main roster.

Me too I have always been a bigger Sabin fan personally.

WWE would be crazy not to try to sign these guys and bring them in as a team. There was a lot of talk earlier in the year about WWE going after Alex Shelley but I guess that TNA/WWE lawsuit put an end to that as WWE stated they weren't interested in TNA stars. Would be an excellent addition to the tag team division and they would be a team that WWE can build around. Hopefully that Chris Sabin will be able to get himself healthly first of all since he has had a bad run lately.

A Buried Alive match that takes place on a PPV is in no way a proper comparrison to names that would be used on Raw, Smackdown, NXT, or Saturday Morning Slam. And the latter of those was the main reason why I doubted they would use MCMG as thier team name, as we now must remember WWE has a G rated show, and Sabin & Shelley could both be featured on that show heavily, much like it seems Sin Cara is getting alot of exposure there. Sorry I didnt explain myself properly.

And on the note of Hero/Ohno & Castignolli/Cesaro, I still believe there is a chance that they could still be used as a team, but that it is being saved for a "last ditch effort" incase neither of them can get over solo.

Jumping the gun aren't we?

WWE doesn't want to put money into someone who has had a history of injuries, case in point Nigel McGuinness. Everyone was saying WWE was Blue for passing on him.

Well Claudio is doing great on SD! and Hero is doing pretty well on NXT right now... These guys don't need to team they just need the WWE machine to put some stock into them.

The fact that he's fully retired only a few years after WWE passed up on him?

It's probably a good job if WWE don't sign the Motor City Machine Guns because nearly all talent that has signed for the company within the past 5-6 years has always left and gone back to TNA or taken time out of wrestling. The one thing WWE don't have is a solid tag division, they chop and change the tag teams yearly whereas in TNA they kept teams like Beer Money, Team 3D and MCMG together for years. I don't think Chris Sabin or Alex Shelley would be used properly - they aren't that good anyway. Their a bit like Team 3D, they need to remain a tag team to perform at their best.
