If you do the challenge that means you sent the money. It's just to raise awareness and have a little fun. It's like the yearly Breast Cancer walks, if you donate money you have to do the walk.
I took three shots of jameson prior to doing mine lol, and took another right after.. shit was COOOLLD!Bitch out [HASHTAG]#2137[/HASHTAG] for this guy. I'm not dumping icewater on my head AND donating, and that was the whole point apparently. If anything Jameson should sponsor me.
Ice water being dumped on you isn't fun. This isn't even about charity anymore lol. This is just people having fun dumping ice cold water over their heads. Before you know it, random individuals all across Youtube will be posting videos of themselves doing it just for fun.
Ice water being dumped on you isn't fun.
It is or otherwise most of these people wouldn't be smiling after dumping it on themselves. It's fun to see if you can endure cold water being splashed over your head and entire body, regardless of why you're doing it.
Hot, boiling water would be a different story.
It's done to raise awareness for a disease rarely in he spotlight and to earn money to try and find a cure for a disease currently incurable.
The ice water is supposed to mimic the feeling an ALS sufferer faces everyday.. as it makes your nerves fire and your muscles seize temporarily.
It's has raised over 55 million in the last 2 months and continues to grow... making the "wasted water" well worth it.
Quoting my previous statement and updating the donation total.
