My favorite Youtuber Shaycarl doing it in a big way... donating $1000 plus all ad revenue generated by the video.

and a unique version of the challenge paying tribute to the great Lou Gehrig!

It's done to raise awareness for a disease rarely in he spotlight and to earn money to try and find a cure for a disease currently incurable.

The ice water is supposed to mimick the feeling an ALS sufferer faces everyday.. as it makes your nerves fire and your muscles seize temporarily.

It's has raised over 23 million in the last month and continues to grow... making the "wasted water" well worth it.

This is becoming quite the fad across social media. Although it's a nice way to raise awareness, hopefully a good number of the participants are also donating money since it is a worthy cause. From my understanding, you only have to donate if you don't accept the challenge.

Either way, I wish other fatal cancers got this kind of support from the social media community because if it did a lot of good could be done in the world.

I hate to be depressing, and especially on a Friday, but that being said .... here's something for all the people bitching about the ice bucket challenge and so many videos being posted.

Can read a little article about the video here.

Now feel free to carry on with the fun videos. Personally, I'm still waiting for Aids'.
