I would say management and booking honestly. Jake Lee won the belt finally from his arch rival only to lose it within a month

All Japan Pro Wrestling have announced that Atsushi Onita will make an appearance as part of their February 4th, 2023 event at the Esforta Arena Hachioji Sub Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Suwama: Tajiri is the reason Jake Lee left AJPW

He claimed that Tajiri "brainwashed" Jake into departing from AJPW (since they were in Total Eclipse unit), and that he's not the only person who fell for that. Francesco Akira also named here as someone who was influenced by Tajiri into leaving AJPW for NJPW. It is also stated that Lee and Tajiri's relationship with Suwama worsened recently as they were critical of him and his decisions.
Also, Suwama said that door to AJPW is closed for Lee and he won't be welcomed back anymore.
