I will say if hammer gets in the free and clear him showing up in AEW right now would be the perfect new way to elongate the MJF Bestie storyline while Adams hurt because so far it’s only been Adam torn between MJF and an old friend, but then you gonna bring in hammer and then make a MJF be torn between Adam Cole and an old friend.

I say that about basically anyone that’s ever held the NXT championship prior to 2.0 but honestly the fans at the time loved NXT more than mainstream WWE so I don’t think anybody would’ve changed it.
