Sydney vs Geelong will be good. Calling Geelong to win by around 5 goals to be honest.

I heard about McVeigh, very sad... I just wish a one minute silence would be done.

Really hope Sydney wins for McVeigh tbfh.

Terrible news about McVeigh. My thoughts go out to him and hopefully Sydney can get the win for him.

Collingwood predictably thrashed an undermanned Fremantle tonight by 80 points. Freo had around 26 players to pick from due to the huge number of players out due to injury and were never a threat to Collingwood. Collingwood continue to build great form and their percentage is now a ridiculous 181.75%!

Collingwood vs. Hawks or Geelong in Grand Final.

So want Collingwood to take out the flag.

I still think we will see Collingwood vs. Geelong. Hawthorn have been very good, especially since they are missing many key position players, but Geelong can continue to take it to another level and are the second best team out there at the moment. Collingwood look unstoppable at the moment but as we saw in 2008 all that matters in finals is who is the best team on the day.

Very well done Sydney. Excellent win against Geelong and to make it even more impressive it was at Skilled Stadium! Thirteen point win in the end and Sydney stayed ahead almost the entire match. Sydney are now confirmed starters for the finals.

Hawthorn easily took apart Bulldogs with a 46 point win.

The big game for North is less than two hours away and I can't wait for it.

Very disappointed with North last night. For the first one and a half quarters North looked like a side that could do some damage after being ahead by 20 points. Then the St Kilda run started and they kicked 9.7 to 0.0 which killed our chances. It was really bad how North just folded to end that game. The less said about Razor Ray's umpiring the better at least he won't be playing a role in the finals.

Some good games today. Richmond continue their good late run and defeated Adelaide in Adelaide. Richmond looked out of it in the second quarter but keep challenging and in the end came out on top. Melbourne couldn't really get away from Gold Coast but finished with a five goal win. Port vs. Essendon was a cracking game and I really thought that Port were going to win when they were 22 points up early in the last quarter. Essendon then got back the lead and finished with a seven point win. John Butcher kicked four more goals for Port. His hands are incredible, the ball sticks like glue in his hands, and even though he has an odd kicking action it is working for him so far with 11.1 in three games.

This week we've got;

Collingwood vs. Geelong
Gold Coast vs. Hawthorn
Bulldogs vs. Fremantle
Sydney vs. Brisbane
West Coast vs. Adelaide
Carlton vs. St Kilda
Port Adelaide vs. Melbourne
Richmond vs. Kangaroos

I feel Collingwood will beat Geelong even without Dale Thomas who was reported for two weeks, quite bullshit really. Collingwood to win by 14 points seeing this is at the MCG.

Hawthorn to deliver a hiding and win by 10 goals at least over Gold Coast.

Dogs/Freo - Tough one, home game.. Dogs win in style to end the season by 6 goals due to Freo's injury list.

Sydney will continue their hot streak and flog Brisbane by a good 8-10 goals to remain a threat for the finals.

West Coast to beat Adelaide by 10 goals as well, West Coast will prove why they are top 4 and will deliver a hiding.

Carlton vs. St Kilda... Carlton and Saints have been on a rollercoaster ride, I see Carlton bouncing back preparing for the finals with a 6 goal victory here.

Port Adelaide will lose to Melbourne by 20 points, It will be a close contest. Butcher to kick 4 goals.

Kangaroos will beat Richmond by a goal. This will be a tight game.

Collingwood vs. Geelong - Can't go past Collingwood here who have barely put a foot wrong all season. With the Thomas bump he deserved two weeks for that, he jumped in the air to hit the Freo player so he got what he deserved.

Gold Coast vs. Hawthorn - Hawthorn are missing a few players and I think that Gold Coast will look to finish strongly. I think that Gold Coast will keep it close and it will only be something like a six goal game.

Bulldogs vs. Fremantle - Freo have had to ask the player if they can add another rookie just for this match because at the moment they have only 20 fit players with two other players possibly being fit before the game. Bulldogs will easily win this against a Freo team that has had to shut up shop because of injuries.

Sydney vs. Brisbane - Sydney will win but Brisbane have managed to keep most games close so I think it will only be a twenty point win.

West Coast vs. Adelaide - At home West Coast will be too strong for Adelaide.

Carlton vs. St Kilda - I think that Carlton should win here. St Kilda have been hot and cold and Carlton will want to ensure they head into the finals with a good win.

Port Adelaide vs. Melbourne - Even though Port have only won two games for the year I can't understand why Melbourne are favourites. Melbourne have been horrible in the past two months and I just can't see them winning. Port have found a bit a form and pushed Essendon for all the game last week. Plus this is the first ever game at the Adelaide Oval so it is a massive game for Port. Port will win and there will be a big crowd.

Richmond vs. Kangaroos - I really hope that North win. We will have quite a few changes due to injuries and two suspensions but have some good names coming back in. McIntosh will play his first game for the year and will want to show why he was in the AA squad a couple of years ago.

I was very shocked by that. Did not expect either team to win by anything close to that margin.

Gold Coast nearly beat Hawthorn who rested eight top players. I was hoping Gold Coast would win just to punish Hawthorn for not playing their best team.

Western Bulldogs predictably beat Fremantle who had the bare minimum players to pick from. Good send off for Hudson and for Hall who kicked five.

Sydney vs. Brisbane wasn't close at all. Sydney took the game away from Brisbane after quarter time and had a nice win leading into the finals.

St Kilda surprisingly beat Carlton. Carlton haven't won a match for about a month now so don't bring any winning form into the finals.

West Coast thumped Adelaide by 95 points. Good distibution of goal kickers for West Coast and they weren't troubled at all.

In the first AFL match at Adelaide Oval Port won an excellent match by eight points. Massive crowd there and once the renovations are complete at Adelaide Oval the capacity will be closer to 50k and the atmosphere will be fantastic. It is the right move for Adelaide and Port because AAMI Stadium is in a horrible location whereas Adelaide Oval is right in the middle of the city.

Then North sent off Brady Rawlings with a 13 point win. Another very good match but thankfully North finished strongly to get the four points and get ninth spot.

The finals are set and are;

Can we do Finals Tipping here? It'd be a nice way to get some activity here..

I'm going Hawks by 7 points, after resting their players... I see them ready to fire all engines and I hate Geelong :p

West Coast should and I am going to put $5 on WCE winning this with a shock 15 point win over Collingwood.

Sydney better beat St. Kilda, Carlton fucking lost on purpose so Saints could get the home game. Sydney to win here and Goodes to rack up 30 disposals.

Carlton vs. Essendon, to be honest... Ultimate decider. Essendon is coming off a bye where as Carlton hasn't won in a month. I hope Essendon pips this one over the line.

Geelong vs. Hawthorn - I think that resting those players last week will hurt Hawthorn and Geelong are heading into this final are in incredible form after last week. Geelong by 27 points.

Collingwood vs. West Coast - Since this is in Melbourne I don't give West Coast much chance of an upset win. I don't think this will be a blowout but Collingwood will win by 35 points.

St Kilda vs. Sydney - Very interesting match-up because both teams have been hot and cold. Home ground advantage will play a big role in this, the last time these two teams played at Etihad St Kilda won. Should be a very close match. Saints by 2 points.

Carlton vs. Essendon - Should be an easy win for Carlton even if they are coming off two loses and a bye in their past three rounds. I just can't see Essendon beating them and I think that Carlton will win by 48 points.

The worst kept secrets in football were revealed earlier this week with Callan Ward, Rhys Palmer and Phil Davis officially signing with GWS. Scully is still expected to sign and interestingly GWS may sign Chad Cornes, Dean Brogan and Luke Power. The last three were all pretty much pushed out of their teams but still have at least a year left in them so I can definitely see them signing with GWS who are desperate for some experience.

First final is about to start but I won't be watching the game until I see Marsh get a hundred in the cricket. I still expect Geelong to win.

31 point win in the end for Geelong. Geelong looked too good for them the whole match and got themselves a week off. Hawthorn may be in a bit of trouble with Franklin going down with a knee injury in the last quarter. If Franklin is out I wonder where the goals are going to come from next week.

Im going to the Swans-Saints game tonight, very excited. We played really well against them last time and they were a bit underdone, so I think it cancels each other out and this will go down to the wire. Go SWANS!!

Pies-Eagles today, I think Collingwood will win, but hey, the eagles have been great this year. Plus id rather play the eagles in a prelim after we beat hawthorn next week.

Blues-Bombers tomorrow. I hate essendon. That is all.

Last night, it really looked like Hawks players werent hard enough when it mattered, maybe down to stars missing last weeks game? Buddy no serious damage, 50/50 to play next week. Hopefully not if its against the swans!
