This was surprising news to say the least. Not that any of those are shocking names to see (Dasha maybe), but just cuts in general.

I loved the Work Horsemen so the Anthony Henry one sucks, especially with him being injured and the fact that they were going to be in the tag tournament. Surprised JD Drake survived then... if we can get a Wingmen reunion it'll all be forgiven.

The Anthony Henry one sucks the most as he's injured. It's kinda fucked if you think about it.

Sure he's an AEW guy but he is only scheduled once a week (MAYBE) so he needs to get indy dates to keep working. He gets injured and now loses his day job too. So it sounds like sure you can work indy dates you risk losing your job by doing them.

I'm curious about something. So if Anthony Henry breaking his jaw at an Indy show is the reason why he got released, then how does Tony Khan look at Darby Allin jumping cars and all his other insane stunts? I mean you released a dude because he got hurt doing his job but say nothing at another dude doing dangerous shit that can affect your life in general.

That's like saying the Lakers released Lebron over getting injured at the Olympics,

so in that sense, I don't think it's fucked if he was on a tiered deal and I don't think his injury had any part of his release. That's my take on it atm though, I still don't like it but I also don't think there's anything nefarious about it either

I'm pretty sure he didn't get released for getting hurt. More likely he just got hurt when he was already about to he released. Him being featured in the tag tournament, which he was definitely wasn't gonna go far in anyways, was probably gonna be like one last thing for him to go out on.

Well... The main difference is Darby Allin is a star and there's interest in him. This Anthony Henry guy isn't. I know that sounds harsh but it's true. Hell Darby is planning to climb Mt. Fucking Everest. There's a 1% death rate doing that.

yeah I think anyone saying he got fired for getting injured is operating with headcannon as opposed to facts. We don't know and considering how TK has behaved towards injuries in the past, extremely unlikely.

oh yeah most definitely the injury wasn't the REASON he was terminated. It just sucks in general. Also no no-compete means he isn't getting paid at all anymore which sucks even more for him as now he can't work nor does he have any paycheck coming.
