again Storm that depends how his contract was structured - I'm not so sure he was ever a full time talent with a guaranteed deal in the first place. Also, a broken jaw is like a 4-6 weeks injury typically so it's not like he will be out of work for months. I would assume most independant contractors like him have money aside for when they are hurt or not booked (assuming he doesn't have a day job which he might)

now I have seen other quotes where he is more steadfast on the no cut thing but the context again was him talking about a period where WWE was doing numerous mass layoffs in a short amount of period.

This is why I think you can make a case for most people having some form of hypocrisy when you just look at a situation on paper, but this is why I always like to delve deeper and look at the small details because a lot of the times it’s what matters.
