There are honestly so many options, both Indy and mainstream. It just feels needlessly petty to tell someone that you don’t want anymore that they can’t work anywhere else. I get some are fine taking that pay over for three months, but I’ve noticed that the vast majority of the talent would prefer to just get their foot in somewhere else.

to be fair most of those people already had longer non-competes by virtue of them never being on TV in the first place.

Sucks for all parties involved, and I hope they all land on their feet. But glad to see AEW finally realizing it's best for all parties to cut people instead of keeping them on the payroll to not be used.
