My own 2 cents is Britt was not over pushed at all after she got over outside of the Owen Hart tournament. People begged for months for her to get the belt and then when she did, people complained she was dominant. Made little sense to me. She dropped the belt to Rosa and hasn't sniffed the title since, so unless the argument is she got more screentime than others, I always found the overpush post heel turn argument a little bit off. It wasn't really her fault that for a while no other woman could cut a promo to save her life, for example. it wasn't until more people stepped up that she could take less screen time.

Maybe overpushed is the wrong term I just know that for me personally I got sick of seeing her so much

first off, a clothesline and a lariat are not the same, you can't do a clothesline to a standing still opponent (or you have to yourself run at someone). Okada also doesn't just stand there, he goes hard for the wristlock then ripcords and steps his entire 250lbs frame into it.

yeah that part is totally fair, she was featured a lot . And she should not have won the Owen, they fucked that up bad (even tho i get they wanted cole and britt to win together, i just didnt care for that idea or visual)

I also really like the psychology behind the Rainmaker, which is something I hope Jamie incorporates more. Okada is really good at holding on to the wrist lock or getting the wristlock in from different positions and even if he doesnt hit, it makes you scared he has you and can destroy at any time he has a wrist lock from anywhere

It’s the same with Bradshaw’s. His looks so great because falls into them on impact. He’s done a couple where he didn’t leave his feet and it doesn’t look as powerful imo.

I’m also not high on the ripcord thing in general. I hated Seth’s ripcord knew.

But like I said probably an unpopular opinion.

I also totally get that TK hadn’t really hit a stride with booking women so when Britt broke out as a heel he leaned on her character work heavily. I feel that this next year will be much better for women’s booking in AEW. Especially once Jade moves on from the TBS title and gets into the mix for the main title. And hopefully Stat can come back and get back her momentum.

I find his ripcord is way better than seths (agree that that move was ass) . Look at these examples btw for some of his really crushing ones (he does go down to one knee on one, or does the leg flair on the other where it looks like a homerun swing)

Britt imo is their best overall women’s package. It makes sense to give her more presence, but she’s still giving the other women a chance to shine. Jamie is becoming a legit star in her run right now and she’s putting over the outcasts pretty nicely etc.

I do think they were very high on Toni regardless, but its possible as if Britt didnt win the owen, she wouldnt have been as hated at the time.

Strat probably should have won, but I liked the idea of Cole and Britt winning as a couple. I’m also high on them both.

its just cuz both cole and britt were already mega over, they di not need these wins at all. i do get the couples thing and also the "put titles on stars to legitimize them before going with outside the box winners" philosophy, but man, Start was white hot and they fed her to Ruby and it fucked over Rubys face run so much too lol. it was not worth the collateral in this case imo
