ECW wasn't killed by the WWE though. Sci-Fy forced stuff onto them, which gave a bad taste from the start. But it was "okay". RVD and Sabu getting busted with pot while RVD was the double world champ was really the nail in their coffin. But personally, I agree with Reag. Later WWECW was actually really good, and while it didn't live up to the hardcore aspect of the legacy, it did actually shine in letting guys get on TV who wouldn't have otherwise, and showcasing all sorts of different talent having pretty good matches. Original ECW wasn't always perfect like everyone's nostalgia will have them believe either, yknow. Really, the spirit of original ECW lived on in WWECW
