I couldn't resist and started watching today...

This Battle Royale... well, I do have some problems with it. Just like with the Casino Battle Royales the overall idea, here it's the everyone starting outside and have to get into the ring to "officially" enter the Match, sounds cool on paper, but that is all. In action it's just... Why would anyone even enter the Ring before, let's just say... 16-19 opponents have been eliminated? :lol Now, it's not that I'm the total logic police, so I do can forgive it... but then you also have the fact that it is unbelievably chaotic to watch and overall quite messy (be it for the live audience, I imagine, or the viewer at home), since you don't have a real overview, which doesn't get better by the fact that you also have Managers and Stablemates near the Ring.

Admittedly, this could of course also be used for some interesting booking ideas. I'd still always prefer a Battle Royale with some sort of staggered entries.

...and I don't wanna sound too critical. I'm not even finished with it and there was a good amount of good stuff in it. I'm at the point with OC and Swerve are both down after their phenomenal sequence (after Swerve eliminated Bill).

Ya, I saw the buy-in and it's nice to see them doing all the entrances at all and Cage and Swerve waited both, yes, but that just makes everyone else going in there right from the start like in the good ol' TNA reversed Battle Royales, seem kinda dumb :lol.

It might be just me, but it feels like the audience is a bit more on the low energy side... :hmm: Could also maybe pick up later on, but yea during slower phases you can REALLY "hear" the quietness.

Nope not just you , was a tepid crowd at times
Shame... I mean, I still think it's better than piping in crowd noises, but still a shame. At least they aren't completely dead and come alive here and there.

not the worst crowd but its certainly not a rabid aew crowd that often show up so for aew standards it was a bit dissapointed. they do pickup on the kast 3rd of the show though so its not the worst thing

Last 3rd of the show, huh... I presume that's like mostly the Four Way and Anarchy? Seems like they maybe just hit a crowd yesterday, which was mostly interested in 2-3 matches, instead of the overall thing. :hmm:

Anyways... it doesn't take as much away from the show, at least for me. In most cases I can separate what's going on in the ring from what's happening beyond the barricades.
