A bit peeved they didn't really give any communication though lol like just say the shows are on a hiatus rn, we found out literally bc Fite had a description for Elevation that was never confirmed by the company and then yesterday there was just no Dark

I agree, that was pretty shitty and my routine is now off. Which would be fine had I gotten a heads up lol

if this is it for that branding though, it had a good run. It was originally started to give pandemic workers stuff to do and for main eventers to pad their records. it evolved passed that and maybe with roh and the saturday show, its time to move on to a different broadcast model

I can't imagine they're done entirely bc if the Saturday show is live that's actually more time to tape them before or after during the week once it starts. I'd leave ROH at Universal for now, those episodes were actually better than the dynamite/rampage tapings

Actually a little disappointed that Dark is getting nixed. Where will I get my Ex/Taz only commentary now?! Honestly, I think it's kind of dumb that Warner wanted the show pulled from YouTube.

As long as this doesn’t affect ROH, seems like a good trade off. AEW has two two-hour prime time shows and a one-hour show now. Rampage can be like the new dark for AEW and if I’m being honest, ROH was kinda booked like a Dark in a way and I’m sure Tony will now view it that way moving forward, too.

Yeah exclusivity rights is one thing but caring about not only YouTube shows but these very minor YouTube shows at that is weird. Does make me think there's a chance they're just waiting for that MAX rollout to move them there

I think it could be both.

I think they see it as now spending money on 5 hours of programming for AEW and don’t want fans to see it elsewhere. Especially for free on YouTube where it can be see at their leisure. TV suits want to train viewers to watch their stuff live at the time it airs.

I think it may be also a way to get the whole library on MAX.

and dammit chris dont perpetuate the squash stereotype sometimes theres competitive matches (more so recently at least)

I get the not wanting to spend more money on production than need be, especially on a free outlet like YouTube. But to me it felt more like it could be used as advertising/development almost. *shrugs*
