Jericho gonna finally let the fact that Punk didn’t do his podcast in 2014 go?

Hopefully the locker room leaders can put petty things aside and do what’s best for business.

Even though there’s nothing concrete yet I’m just glad there’s any news right now about AEW considering him being back so I’m going to be a pretty hopeful boy right now.

If Punk comes back and the Elite don’t want to work with him that’s fine. There are plenty of people Punk can work with even though it does disappoint me a little bit because I think that angle would be huge but it’s perfectly acceptable.

I do think Kenny Omega just by himself will come around just based on the interview I heard him speaking about the situation. He seemed like he would be down to do business.

CM Punk's return tentatively planned by AEW
CM Punk has expressed his willingness to return to AEW, and it seems like the pieces are being put into place for it to happen.
We will preface and follow this with the disclaimer that nothing is set in stone, and things can change as this is an often tumultuous situation.
Fightful Select had been getting hints after April 12’s report that Punk wanted to come back to AEW, that the wheels were already in motion. We were told shortly before the announcement of Chicago at Wintrust Arena that the June 21 episode of Dynamite would be interesting, and a date to look out for. What we’ve learned since then is as of April 13, the working plan has been for CM Punk to return at that show, or at the very least around it. There were also pitches of announcing it well ahead of time, even around the Warner Upfronts, which are May 17.
Those that we’ve spoken to confirmed that CM Punk has been hoping to work with Kenny Omega and Young Bucks, but we’ve heard of no contact between the two sides. The last we’d heard, The Elite were not keen on the possibility of working with him. AEW sources indicated that Punk had been trying to push for a meeting between everyone for quite a while, but we haven't heard if any progress had been made. It's worth noting that Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are in the middle of negotiating new contracts with AEW.
We’re told that there was also a meeting planned between CM Punk and Chris Jericho, who have had numerous issues in the past, to see if the two working together is a possibility.
There’s been a lot more traction within Warner Bros Discovery about an impending announcement of a prime time Saturday show being designed for a bit of a soft roster split to accommodate the preferences of talent who wanted to stay separate of the particular situations, though talent haven't been informed of that. Talent we’ve spoken to have heard the discussions about a new show, but haven’t heard about Punk’s possible impending return.
As with anything, things can change, but specifically in this situation that has been brewing for the better part of the year. Thus far none of this has been set in stone as best we can tell.

doing the podcast will be one of the conditions of his return

long con
Man, putting punk on a podcast, would probably be such a terrible idea but at the same time I kind of want to hear it.

I think the bigger news is it seems they are getting a primetime show on saturday and from reading the tea leaves it sounds like 2 hours. a soft split of the roster makes sense for more ppl in the upper midcard to get pushes. idk, if amends are made, I think this is a huge W

AEW honestly needs a second two-hour show. Saturday would probably be perfect for it. Homage back to WCW Saturday night.

and I have no issue with the Elite not wanting to work with him or being apprehensive. Punk needs to prove himself reliable and not volatile. That doesn't mean they don't want him to return at all, fwiw. I could see it being a ok show me situation.

He was vague about it but Andrew Zarian clearly knew some of this on a Tuesday show I listened to him on bc he mentioned the rosters being soft split with the Saturday show and how that could keep Punk and the Elite separate. I thought that was weird af but it was obvious he wasn't just spitballing and he knew more than he felt he should say

I don't have any issue with either party not wanting to work with the other yeah, that's 100% understandable and I don't see any reason for Tony to force them to interact any more than they need to if they can manage to be professional backstage. The roster is big enough that there's no need to

Yeah people taking it as them trying to block him was moronic. No reports came out saying they were trying to block him. I don't blame them for not trusting him at all and wanting to at least see how he acts before jumping into a programme with him.
